About the Role
As our Regional Manager, you will be the key strategic partner for our QLD & NT Franchise Owners, empowering them to achieve local business success while driving regional growth. This role requires a blend of high-level strategic thinking, strong financial acumen, and exceptional stakeholder management. You will:
Market Dominance: Lead the charge to become the #1 detached home builder in the region by maximising market share growth.
Franchise Profitability & Collaboration: Partner closely with Franchise Owners to ensure they are operating highly profitable businesses while delivering exceptional customer satisfaction, making G.J. Gardner Homes the most respected builder in each area.
Business Planning and Review: Develop and execute regional business plans, collaborate on franchise business plans, and conduct regular performance and financial reviews to drive sustainable commercial success.
Operational & Financial Excellence: Address challenges, provide support, and mentor Franchise Owners to improve business strategies, maintain healthy margins, and ensure operational compliance.
Franchise Compliance: Ensure Franchise Owners adhere to systems, processes, and legal obligations, maintaining a high standard of business practice.
Network Growth: Evaluate and support franchise prospects, ensuring positive outcomes for Franchise Owners and contributing to the overall growth and reputation of G.J. Gardner Homes.
This role offers excellent flexibility, allowing you to work either remotely from Brisbane or on a hybrid basis from our Franchisor office in Birtinya on the Sunshine Coast. Because this role supports a vast footprint, extensive regional travel across QLD and the NT will be required to ensure regular face-to-face time with our Franchise Owners.

About You
Construction Growth Expert: Minimum 5 years of experience working with small to medium-sized construction businesses to achieve growth, customer focus, and effective risk management.
Financially Literate: Strong commercial and financial acumen with a proven capability to analyse business financials, track margins, and ensure small business profitability.
Regional Sector Knowledge: Strong background within the Queensland and/or Northern Territory residential home building and construction sector.
Regulatory Sharpness: Solid knowledge of building codes, regulations, and legal requirements related to residential construction projects.
Industry Astute: Good understanding of industry trends, best practices, and innovations to drive competitiveness within the region.
Franchise Leader (Desirable): Franchise network leadership experience is highly desirable, or experience navigating complex stakeholder environments.
Strategic & Performance Driven: Proven track record of delivering business planning, performance management, and demonstrating a strong growth orientation.
Natural Influencer: Exceptional coaching, mentoring, and communication skills with the ability to build quality, long-term relationships with small business owners.
Autonomous & Organised: Self-motivated with excellent time management, admin, and organisational skills to work effectively unsupervised.
