Description of Position

As Dubbing Operations Regional Manager, you will be overseeing a group of dubbing coordinators responsible for daily operations of their team. You will be instrumental in the development of performance goals and long-term dubbing operational plans that ensure audiences around the world experience the highest quality of localized content. You will have accountabilities for all aspects of daily dubbing operations, including managing forecasts, capacity, and utilization planning, owning dubbing production workflows and service-level agreements, vendor management, dub quality analysis and performance metrics. In this role, you will monitor evolving regional needs and engage in developing solutions that push innovative boundaries to help localization vendors transform their processes to deliver high quality dubbed content with accelerated timelines. As an ideal candidate, you will bring dubbing management experience to help raise the bar and are an expert in the fields of localization processes, strategic planning and risk assessment. You will work cross functionally with global Dubbing Operations, global Client Services, Bids & Billing, Scripting, Creative, Audio Description, Audio and Video Editorial, Mastering, Platform, Fulfillment, Linguistic Quality, Product, Finance, Marketing and Legal.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Monitor regional dubbing operations to ensure on-time and right-the-first-time deliveries

  • Evaluate regional dubbing operations processes to increase efficiencies

  • Liaise with the global Dubbing Operations team and contribute to the goals of the Vendor Performance Program

  • Be the key point of contact for regional Creative Supervisors for escalation and support

  • Provide support for Creative Supervisor activities, including but not limited to recruiting, onboarding, and communication of workflow changes, performance, SLAs and SOPs

  • Be involved with creative kickoffs for new titles and communicate with vendors as needed

  • Conduct dub quality audits for translation, casting, and mix and for certain high-profile titles participate in casting and mix reviews to ensure the creative quality of dubbing vendors

  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to investigate vendor escalations and to create corrective action plans

  • Lead regional post-mortems on titles/series as needed

  • Assist with testing and implementation of new dubbing technologies, including but not limited to project management, glossary management, and asset management

  • Support global Bids & Billing team to verify and monitor the regional/territorial dubbing rates in order to maintain healthy dubbing margins

  • Conduct market assessment of territory/language, including pricing, capacity, and areas of opportunity

  • Maintain excellent relationships with internal and external teams to create an exceptional, positive, collaborative experience

  • Represent Deluxe in a positive, professional manner and keep a trusting, inclusive, and productive environment

  • Demonstrate consciousness and cultural sensitivity as the main contact for local creative teams and local clients

Experience, qualifications and key competencies

  • 5+ years in the dubbing industry

  • Knowledge of dubbing vendors within the assigned region

  • An attraction to storytelling, serving the customer, collaboration and teamwork

  • Experience in audiovisual technology, knowledge of audio formats and dubbing processes

  • Experience interacting with global localization providers, dub studios and subtitle companies

  • Experience with a variety of centralized localization workflows and product types across multiple regions and languages

  • Experience with managing complex dubbing audio projects simultaneously, with follow through to meet aggressive timelines

  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills across all levels

  • Experience with project management tools, data collection and analysis to drive improvements

  • An attraction to applying deep critical thinking on difficult problems and finding solutions

  • The ability to identify risks and effectively manage activities to minimize impact

  • Exceptional personnel management and leadership skills with ability to work independently and contribute to cross-functional teams

  • Experience in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment

  • Masterful organizational skills and attention to detail
