The Opportunity

The Regional Business Manager (RBM) is responsible for increasing sales and revenue within an assigned geographical area (Gulf Coast) by working with new and existing customers. This person will collaborate with internal teams and distribution partners, manage a sales pipeline, and develop strategies to grow market share. The Regional Business Manager reports directly to the US Director of Sales.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a strategic and tactical sales plan to achieve territory growth goals.

  • Maintain and manage a strong funnel, utilizing a CRM tool (SalesForce.com) with an accurate monthly forecast.

  • Collaborate with distribution partners to optimize performance, protect base business and close new business with a minimum of 20 monthly touches with partners (live, remote, phone)

  • Clearly communicate the value and benefit of TECHLAB’s portfolio of solutions

  • Responsible for weekly and monthly preparations of all reports to be submitted to sales management (e.g., weekly expenses, monthly forecast report)

  • Conduct regular customer contacts with a minimum of 20 weekly customer interactions (live, remote, phone, and email), including overnight travel

  • Represent TECHLAB at customer sites, trade shows, and industry events

Position Goals

Sales Performance

  • Annual Territory Business Plan focus, and execution of Top 10 customer accounts and top 30 opportunities.

  • Execution of strategies and tactics highlighted and defined by the U.S. IDN Manager and his territory-specific IDNs, as identified with U.S. Sales Director.

Territory Business Management

  • SFDC funnel, opportunity, and dashboard management as instructed by the Sales Director.

Distribution and IDN Execution

  • Lead the distribution partner reps and sales leadership effectively in conducting a meeting cadence and opportunity-focused efforts to close top opportunities and identify new opportunities monthly.


Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a science or business, with 2-3+ years of sales experience, ideally in a healthcare environment

OR

  • Associate degree, preferably in a science or business field, with 5+ years of relevant sales experience in healthcare

  • Must reside in the Gulf Coast region (FL, GA, AL, MS, LA) within 1 hour of a major airport

  • Willing to travel 50% - 75%

  • Ability to independently manage a multi-state territory while working from a home office

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience selling through and working closely with distribution channels

  • Strong understanding of sales process including prospecting, qualifying, growing existing customer business, and closing

  • Experience in laboratory diagnostics is highly desirable
