The Raw Material Buyer is responsible for reviewing MRP requirements and placing purchase orders to ensure material availability for production. They also manage supplier relationships, maintain ERP data accuracy, and identify potential inventory shortages or risks.

At this point, Zelh is looking for a Raw Material Buyer to join our client’s team.
The Raw Material Buyer reviews MRP requirements and places purchase orders to maintain material availability and support production schedules.
Essential Functions
• Review MRP recommendations and purchasing exceptions each day.
• Convert approved MRP requirements into purchase orders with approved suppliers.
• Confirm order quantities, pricing, lead times, and requested delivery dates before placing purchase orders.
• Adjust purchase-order quantities and dates when requirements change and approvals are received.
• Maintain accurate purchasing, source-list, and planning data in the ERP system.
• Identify shortages, excess inventory risks, and urgent material requirements.
• Set priorities for the Purchasing Coordinator and provide direction on orders requiring follow-up.
• Communicate material risks and purchasing needs to Planning, Manufacturing, and the Purchasing Manager.
• Support inventory goals and complete related purchasing assignments as requested.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in business, operations, supply chain, or equivalent relevant experience is preferred.
• At least 3 years of purchasing, planning, or supply chain experience is preferred.
• Experience using MRP and ERP systems is required.
• Strong Excel, analytical, organizational, and communication skills are required.
• Experience in dietary supplements, food, pharmaceutical, or regulated manufacturing is preferred.
Working conditions:
• Working schedule: 8-5pm EST.
• Competitive Salary in USD.
• 10 business days of paid time off, 15 - after 2 years, 7 days of Public Holidays, 3 sick leaves.
