Job Description

Joining Capgemini Engineering means becoming part of a global community of passionate engineers and technology experts who are shaping the future of connectivity. In this role, you will work at the heart of cutting-edge telecommunications infrastructure, contributing to the performance and reliability of next-generation mobile networks. You will collaborate with world-class professionals on challenging, meaningful projects that make a real impact — all within a culture that values curiosity, innovation, and continuous growth.

Your Role

In this role you will play a key role in:

  • Performing 24x7x365 incident monitoring of mobile access and transmission networks, ensuring continuous service availability and rapid response to any disruptions across RAN environments.
  • Managing and resolving transmission network failures, including the creation of backup routes and provisioning of circuits within DWDM and SDH environments using platforms from Nokia, Huawei, and Ericsson.
  • Operating and maintaining Radio Access Network (RAN) elements across 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G technologies for both Ericsson and Nokia, including eNodeB, gNodeB, and virtualized elements such as ASBSC (CBAN, NCIR, NADCM).
  • Supporting the deployment and configuration of Cloud RAN and 5G Standalone environments, working with virtualized network components and DELL technology switches within the ASBSC ecosystem.
  • Coordinating and providing technical support to field technicians carrying out installation and configuration of RPC equipment, ensuring quality and alignment with network standards and client requirements.

Your Profile

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in telecommunications or IT, with hands-on knowledge of monitoring DWDM and SDH transmission environments and working with network management platforms from major vendors including Nokia, Huawei, and Ericsson.
  • Solid understanding of RAN technologies across multiple generations (2G, 3G, 4G, 5G), including familiarity with Nokia and Huawei photonic mesh, Nokia trace elements (EMIL, MEGAMON, MEGAPLEXER, UTF), and Ericsson components such as TCU and R6K.
  • Experience working with network management tools and platforms including OMS, Tarantella, Geiser, NRIF, FEMTOS, and Personalized Management Centers in a Telefónica environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose complex network issues, make data-driven decisions under pressure, and implement effective resolutions in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Awareness of 5G Standalone and Cloud RAN architectures, with a proactive mindset towards staying up to date with emerging telecommunications technologies and network evolution trends.
