Quality Control & Quality Assurance Specialist

99Bright Minds is looking for a Quality Control & Quality Assurance Specialist to lead manual and automated testing and ensure software quality across the full development lifecycle.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Lead End-to-End Testing: Design, plan and oversee manual and automated testing strategies covering functional and non-functional requirements.
• Automation & Manual Testing: Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks, and perform meticulous manual testing to uncover hard-to-find bugs and edge cases.
• Bug Identification & Reporting: Find, document and track defects with exceptional attention to detail.
• Quality Leadership: Serve as the senior point of contact for quality, leading QA engineers and analysts in testing best practices and continuous improvement.
• Client Engagement: Lead client discussions on quality standards, test results and defect management.
• Test Strategy & Planning: Build risk-based testing approaches, regression plans and automation coverage.
• Collaboration & Mentorship: Work with developers, BAs and PMs, and mentor junior QA staff.
• Continuous Improvement: Adopt new testing tools and methodologies.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in software quality assurance and quality control
• Proven expertise in manual and automated testing, with hands-on automation frameworks
• Ability to design and execute test plans, test cases and regression suites for complex systems
• Strong track record of identifying and documenting critical bugs and edge cases
• Experience leading and mentoring QA teams in Agile or hybrid environments
• Excellent communication skills with clients and stakeholders
• Proficiency with bug tracking and test management tools
• Advanced knowledge of automated testing tools and scripting languages
• Experience with version control; CI/CD and DevOps familiarity is a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or a related field

Nice to have: Experience in regulated industries or enterprise projects; performance, security or usability testing.
