Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive manual and automated test frameworks to ensure software quality. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify defects, analyze root causes, and implement data-driven solutions throughout the development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, execute, and maintain manual and automated test cases and test scripts.
- Perform functional, regression, API, performance, integration, and exploratory testing.
- Develop automated tests using Playwright, TypeScript, Java, k6, MCP, AI-assisted testing, and other applicable technologies.
- Translate business and functional requirements into detailed, efficient, and comprehensive test scenarios and test cases.
- Design and maintain reusable, scalable automation frameworks using data-driven, keyword-driven, hybrid, and BDD approaches.
- Integrate automated testing with Git, CI/CD pipelines, test management platforms, and other development tools.
- Use browser developer tools, application logs, HTTP requests/responses, stack traces, heap dumps, and other diagnostic tools to identify and troubleshoot defects.
- Analyze defects, determine root causes, provide detailed technical information to developers, and track issues through resolution.
- Identify quality risks early in the software development lifecycle and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Design realistic performance testing scenarios, including user journeys, data parameterization, load models, and performance metrics.
- Execute predefined test cases while also conducting unscripted exploratory testing.
- Apply testing techniques such as boundary value analysis, equivalence partitioning, and risk-based testing.
- Work with relational and NoSQL databases to validate application data and test results.
- Analyze and profile production data to support test data creation and validation.
- Work with test data management and data governance platforms.
- Use tools such as Zephyr Scale, GitLab, and similar platforms for test management, defect tracking, and progress reporting.
- Identify bottlenecks, waste, process variations, and potential quality issues, and develop data-driven solutions.
- Continuously evaluate and improve QA processes, automation frameworks, tools, and testing strategies.
- Collaborate closely with software engineers, system personnel, business stakeholders, and management.
- Participate in meetings, training, Agile/Scrum ceremonies, and other team activities as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
