Partners Building Communities, Inc. is seeking compassionate, dedicated, and motivated Qualified Mental Health Professionals – Adult (QMHP-A) to join our growing behavioral health team serving individuals throughout Virginia.

Position Summary
The QMHP-A provides community-based behavioral health services to adults experiencing serious mental illness or behavioral health challenges. Services focus on improving daily functioning, developing coping skills, crisis prevention, community integration, and supporting recovery goals through person-centered care.
Responsibilities
- Provide Community Stabilization and other behavioral health services in community settings.
- Complete assessments, service documentation, and progress notes in accordance with DMAS and DBHDS requirements.
- Develop and implement individualized service plans.
- Teach independent living, communication, coping, and problem-solving skills.
- Coordinate care with families, providers, hospitals, CSBs, and other community resources.
- Participate in treatment team meetings and clinical supervision.
- Maintain timely and accurate electronic documentation.
- Respond professionally to crisis situations while following agency protocols.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, agency policies, Medicaid regulations, and licensing standards.
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must meet Virginia QMHP-A requirements, including:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Services or a related behavioral health field or other qualifications that meet Virginia DBHDS QMHP-A standards.
- Experience working with adults experiencing mental health disorders preferred.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of automobile insurance.
- Ability to pass required background checks.
- Current CPR/First Aid certification & Crisis Wave (or willingness to obtain).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience providing Community Stabilization or Intensive Community Treatment services.
- Knowledge of Medicaid documentation requirements.
- Crisis intervention experience.
- Bilingual applicants are encouraged to apply.
