Purpose of Role/Summary: 


The QA Lead is responsible for defining, implementing, and overseeing quality assurance strategies across all software development projects. This role involves leading the QA team, ensuring high standards of product quality, and aligning testing efforts with business and technical goals. The QA Lead acts as a bridge between stakeholders, developers, and QA engineers to ensure the delivery of reliable, high-quality software within scope and timelines.


Main Activities and Responsibilities:


  • Define and implement QA strategy, processes, and best practices across projects
  • Lead, mentor, and support QA engineers, ensuring their growth and performance
  • Design and oversee test plans, test cases, and test execution (manual and automated)
  • Ensure comprehensive test coverage across functional, integration, regression, and performance testing
  • Establish and maintain automated testing frameworks and CI/CD quality gates
  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to clarify requirements and ensure testability
  • Collaborate with other developers, designers, QA testers, system analysts, and business analysts to ensure cohesive development efforts
  • Identify risks, gaps, and areas for improvement in quality processes and propose solutions
  • Monitor and report on quality metrics, defects, and testing progress
  • Ensure timely detection, reporting, and tracking of defects, including root cause analysis
  • Drive continuous improvement in QA practices, tools, and methodologies
  • Coordinate release validation and sign-off processes
  • Ensure proper documentation of test processes, cases, and results
  • Promote a quality-first mindset across the development lifecycle
  • Any other duties relevant to the role.



Required Skills & Experience:



  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Fluent in English both written and spoken.
  • Strong experience in software testing (manual and automated)
  • Proven experience in leading QA teams and managing testing processes
  • Deep understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies
  • Experience with test management tools (e.g., TestRail, Zephyr, Allure TestOps)
  • Experience with automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar)
  • Knowledge of API testing tools (e.g., Postman, RestAssured)
  • Experience with performance and load testing tools (e.g., JMeter, k6)
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with SQL / No-SQL databases for validation and data testing
  • Experience with automated testing tools and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Github Actions, Jenkins)
  • Experience with financial trading systems will be considered a strong advantage
  • Understanding of monitoring tools and quality metrics (Grafana, Prometheus is a plus)
