Project Scheduler

Position Overview

This is a part-time position averaging approximately 20 hours per week. The position will primarily be performed remotely, with coordination and meetings with CVE's Line Division project teams as needed.

Cache Valley Electric is seeking an experienced Part-Time Project Scheduler to support our Line Division. This position will work closely with project managers, field leadership, and division management to develop, maintain, and update project schedules for transmission, substation, and utility construction projects.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Primavera P6 and understands construction sequencing, critical path scheduling, project milestones, and schedule reporting.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced scheduler looking for a flexible, part-time position while supporting large-scale electrical infrastructure projects.

What You'll Do

• Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules using Primavera P6
• Work with project managers and field leadership to establish project timelines, milestones, and sequencing
• Build baseline schedules and incorporate project scope, procurement, engineering, and construction activities
• Update schedules based on actual field progress and changing project conditions
• Perform Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling and identify activities that may impact project completion
• Track project milestones, constraints, delays, and schedule risks
• Assist project teams with look-ahead schedules and short-term planning
• Analyze schedule performance and identify potential schedule conflicts or delays
• Prepare schedule reports and communicate schedule changes to project leadership
• Assist with recovery schedules and schedule adjustments when projects fall behind plan
• Coordinate with project managers to ensure schedules accurately reflect current project status
• Maintain accurate schedule documentation and historical schedule updates
• Support multiple projects within CVE's Line Division as needed

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Project Scheduler, Construction Scheduler, or similar role
• Hands-on experience with Primavera P6 required
• Understanding of CPM scheduling, critical path analysis, and construction sequencing
• Experience working with construction project schedules
• Ability to read and understand construction plans, project milestones, and scopes of work
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with project managers and field leadership
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
