 About the role

NORESCO is seeking a Project Manager for its Federal and Energy Services teams. We are seeking an individual that has construction experience with a variety of construction tasks associated with managing campus mechanical and electrical distribution systems and other energy infrastructure. This individual will be responsible for working with a construction team, supporting project development, estimating, scheduling, contract/subcontract development, safety oversight, project financial performance, quality control/quality assurance and contract compliance. 

The Project Manager will be a team member supporting project needs from development through construction completion. They will support project teams as needed to meet overall Company objectives. We will rely on this individual to participate in internal and external meetings providing their expertise to assist the teams as we develop successful projects to address client needs. Project Management skills and effective communication are required for this role.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Experience with the installation and commissioning of steam distribution and other mechanical, electrical or building/balance of plant control systems.
• Must have proven track record of success in dealing with customers and having oversight of subcontractors and/or project managers.
• Proficient level of communications, sense of ownership, and project management
• Proficient in Microsoft Project, Word, and Excel.
• Willing to travel a minimum of 50% during work week. 
• Mental alertness and ability to concentrate with distractions nearby
• Ability to stand, stoop, reach, bend, climb and crawl
• This position requires working in diverse locations and conditions including but not limited to mechanical equipment rooms where there can be potential exposure to noisy operating equipment, exposure to extreme weather conditions, precarious places, and proximity to electricity including high voltage. Detailed safety review must be completed and reviewed prior to any work. Adherence to all Safety Procedures will be required. 
• This position is highly physical and requires regular use of hands, fingers, walking, standing, stooping, reaching, kneeling bending climbing, and crawling
• Potential exists for requirement of employee to regularly lift and or move up to 10 lbs., frequently lift and or move up to 50 lbs. and occasionally lift and or move more than 50 lbs.

• Robust combination of business acumen, risk management, and strategic thinking skills.
• Keen attention to detail and ability to identify errors, concerns, or ambiguities in contract documents (contracts, design, specifications). 
• Eligible to obtain federal security clearance, if required
