Lead and manage medium-to-large scale complex projects for federal clients from initiation through closeout. Build strong partnerships with federal stakeholders and lead multi-disciplinary teams to deliver user-centric, data-driven outcomes.

Position Summary

As a Project Manager with Bravo17, you will lead and manage medium-to-large scale projects, ensuring successful delivery on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Project Manager with at least 8 years of experience who can thrive in a high-accountability environment and drive meaningful client outcomes within the federal space. You will lead project teams, build deep partner relationships with federal stakeholders, manage budgets effectively, and champion user-centric, data-driven delivery

What You’ll Do

Project Execution & Delivery Management

  • Lead and manage medium-to-large scale, complex projects simultaneously from initiation through closeout.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets effectively.
  • Proactively manage project risks, identify challenges, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure seamless delivery.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of Bravo17’s project management processes, methodologies, and standards.

Team Leadership & People Development

  • Build, motivate, and lead high-performing, multi-disciplinary project teams.
  • Develop and mentor junior team members, fostering a positive, collaborative work environment and supporting their ongoing growth.
  • Foster a culture of excellence and continuous learning within the program management function, ensuring employee well-being is prioritized.

Stakeholder Engagement & Mission Alignment

  • Effectively manage project stakeholders and build strong, trust-based partnerships with clients and federal agencies ("Not just Customers, Partners").
  • Effectively communicate project plans, metrics, and results to senior leadership and external stakeholders using data to drive team performance.
  • Ensure all project deliverables strictly prioritize user experience ("User-Centric") and map directly back to measurable mission outcomes.

What You Will Bring To The Table

Required:

  • Experience: Minimum of 8+ years of experience in project management or program management roles.
  • Clearance: An Active Department of Defense (DoD) Secret clearance is required.
  • Project Delivery: Proven track record of successfully leading, managing, and delivering medium-to-large scale projects on time and within budget.
  • Financial Acumen: Direct experience managing project budgets and resources effectively.

Practice Contribution:

  • Willingness to contribute to Bravo17's internal program management methodologies and standards.
  • A focus on operational efficiency by leveraging existing templates, methodologies, and best practices ("Don't Reinvent, Reuse").

Strongly Preferred:

  • Experience managing digital products, applications, system design, or IT optimization projects within a federal or defense environment.
  • Background working closely with cross-functional technical teams (software engineers, UX designers, data analysts)

Who You Are

You are a builder. You are comfortable operating without excessive structure and know how to create clarity where it doesn’t exist.

You thrive in environments where standards are high, teams are small, and impact is visible. You do not need hand-holding, but you are collaborative and generous with your expertise.

You are motivated by mission-driven work and understand the responsibility that comes with designing for federal and defense environments. You can balance user-centered design with regulatory constraints, policy requirements, and security realities.

You:

  • Take ownership without waiting to be asked
  • Are comfortable leading research and design with minimal oversight
  • Communicate confidently with senior federal stakeholders
  • Know how to defend design decisions with data and rationale
  • Are adaptable when priorities shift
  • Care deeply about quality and usability, even in complex systems
  • See ambiguity as an opportunity, not a blocker
  • Want to be part of building something, not just contributing to something already built.
