Programme Associate - Congo Basin

Full Circle Foundation is looking for a Programme Associate to join its Congo Basin programme, working closely with the Programme Manager to help shape and deliver our work across the region.

The role combines strategic thinking with strong field and partner engagement. The Programme Associate will act as a thought partner to the Programme Manager, bringing regional knowledge, insights and perspectives to programme strategy while building trusted relationships with communities, grantee partners, networks and other stakeholders.

The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of the Congo Basin and experience working directly with communities and local or regional organisations. They will be a natural relationship builder and networker, comfortable identifying emerging opportunities and challenges and translating what they hear and observe in the field into useful strategic insight.

Fluency in French and English is essential, alongside strong digital skills and the ability to work effectively within a remote, international team. The role will involve regular travel and engagement with partners and communities across the region.

Candidates may come from conservation, biodiversity, community or Indigenous Peoples' rights, forest governance, regenerative livelihoods, environmental justice or related fields. Experience within a large international organisations is not essential. Deep regional knowledge, strong relationships and an ability to combine strategic thinking with practical field engagement are particularly valued.

Contract: Full time, remote with regular regional travel
