Fortress Information Security is seeking a mission-focused Program Manager to support and scale Department of War (DoW) programs within the Government Solutions division. This role serves as a key operational leader responsible for program execution, contract administration, customer engagement, onboarding activities, and cross-functional coordination across the Government Solutions portfolio.  

Acting as a trusted deputy to the Vice President of Fortress Security Solutions, this individual will help ensure successful execution of customer commitments while enabling organizational growth across Department of War, Missile Defense Agency (MDA), and future Systems Command (SYSCOM) engagements. The Program Manager will work closely with delivery, program management, operations, legal, finance, product, and executive leadership teams to ensure programs are delivered efficiently, compliantly, and at scale — making this an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned government contracting professional ready to take on high-visibility, mission-critical work. 


Responsibilities Include 
  • Serve as the primary point of accountability for assigned Department of War program execution, customer engagement, and contractual obligations. 
  • Support executive leadership by providing operational continuity, program oversight, and coordination across Government Solutions initiatives. 
  • Manage the full lifecycle of government contracts, including deliverable tracking, milestone management, contract modifications, option year activities, and performance monitoring. 
  • Coordinate with legal, finance, security, product, and technical teams to ensure contractual compliance and successful program execution. 
  • Develop and maintain program schedules, status reports, action trackers, risk registers, and customer communications. 
  • Conduct funding analysis, monitor program financial performance, and identify potential budget or resource risks. 
  • Support pricing activities, budget planning, forecasting, and financial reviews for Government Solutions programs. 
  • Lead onboarding activities for new personnel supporting Government Solutions programs, ensuring operational readiness and successful integration. 
  • Coordinate security clearance processing activities with internal security personnel, government security offices, and customer stakeholders. 
  • Maintain clearance tracking records and proactively manage investigation, renewal, and upgrade requirements. 
  • Support implementation and onboarding of new customers, program offices, and defense organizations as Fortress expands its Government Solutions portfolio. 
  • Establish and maintain program documentation, operating procedures, stakeholder maps, and customer engagement plans. 
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between delivery teams, program managers, product teams, and executive leadership. 
  • Monitor program risks, dependencies, and issues while developing mitigation plans and escalation paths when necessary. 
  • Develop, maintain, and mature standard operating procedures that improve consistency, efficiency, and scalability across Government Solutions programs. 
  • Prepare executive briefings, customer presentations, status reports, and operational updates using advanced Microsoft Office tools. 
  • Utilize AI-enabled productivity tools to improve reporting, planning, documentation, analysis, and operational efficiency. 
  • Represent Fortress professionally in customer meetings, planning sessions, reviews, and other program-related engagements. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of Government Solutions objectives and Fortress strategic priorities. 
Minimum Qualifications 
  • 5+ years of program or project management experience supporting U.S. Government customers or government contracting environments. 
  • Demonstrated experience managing federal contracts, task orders, or programs operating under government acquisition frameworks. 
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects, stakeholders, and deliverables. 
  • Experience supporting contract administration, compliance activities, and customer engagement efforts. 
  • Experience coordinating personnel onboarding, operational readiness, or security-related administrative activities. 
  • Strong financial acumen with experience supporting budget tracking, funding analysis, forecasting, or pricing activities. 
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation communication skills. 
  • Ability to communicate effectively with executive leadership, government customers, and technical teams. 
  • Intermediate proficiency with AI-enabled workplace productivity tools. 
  • Expert-level proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, and related collaboration tools. 
  • Active U.S. Security Clearance (Secret minimum). 
  • U.S. Citizenship required. 
Preferred Skills 
  • Experience supporting Department of War, Missile Defense Agency (MDA), NAVSEA, NAVAIR, Army, Air Force, Space Force, or other Department of Defense organizations. 
  • Familiarity with Cyber Supply Chain Risk Management (C-SCRM) principles, frameworks, and related government initiatives. 
  • PMP, FAC-P/PM, DAU, or equivalent program management certification. 
  • Experience supporting growth-stage government contracting organizations. 
  • Experience working with NIST 800-161, software supply chain security, SBOMs, HBOMs, vendor risk management, or related cybersecurity disciplines. 
  • Familiarity with personnel security processes, clearance administration, and government security requirements. 
  • Experience developing operational processes, governance frameworks, and scalable program management practices. 
Education 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Program Management, Public Administration, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
