What you can expect when joining the team
Do you enjoy taking ownership of complex customer programs, bringing multiple teams together, and turning ambitious commitments into clear, achievable plans?
As a Program Manager, you will lead some of Petal’s most strategic technology deployments for healthcare customers across Canada. These are complex, high-visibility programs involving large enterprise and public-sector clients, multiple internal teams, and solutions that may continue to evolve during delivery.
Reporting directly to the Chief Customer Officer, you will work closely with Professional Services and partner with Product, Customer Success and other teams across Petal. You will be the person who keeps the full program moving: aligning stakeholders, clarifying decisions, managing risks and dependencies, and ensuring that Petal and the customer deliver on their commitments.
In your day to day, you will:
Lead several customer deployment programs at different stages, from RFP and planning through delivery, go-live, and adoption;
Turn contractual commitments and customer requirements into clear program plans, milestones, responsibilities, and success criteria;
Coordinate internal teams and customer stakeholders, often working closely with a Program Manager or equivalent counterpart on the customer side;
Lead customer status meetings, internal working sessions, steering committees, and executive updates;
Maintain a clear view of timelines, scope, resources, dependencies, risks, issues, and decisions across multiple concurrent programs;
Build trusted relationships with demanding enterprise and public-sector customers and communicate confidently with sponsors and senior leaders;
Work closely with Product and other internal teams to identify practical ways to close product or delivery gaps while keeping customer commitments on track;
Anticipate problems, bring forward solutions, manage escalations, and create the sense of urgency needed to keep programs moving;
Support RFP work by helping assess requirements, plan delivery, and identify dependencies before a program begins;
Help customers reach value quickly by driving an efficient path to deployment and adoption;
Contribute to internal initiatives that improve program governance, delivery methods, documentation, and project management practices when capacity allows;
Provide flexible business-hour coverage for customers across Eastern and Pacific time zones and travel occasionally for high-value workshops or customer meetings.
Your profile
You are an experienced Program or Project Manager who knows what strong delivery looks like. You are comfortable owning a complex program from top to bottom, working through ambiguity, and taking action without waiting for detailed instructions. We would love to meet you if you have:
5+ years of relevant project or program management experience, including repeated ownership of complex technology deployments;
A demonstrated track record of leading program governance, steering committees, and executive-level communications;
Experience working directly with enterprise customers, sponsors, and senior leaders in high-expectation environments;
Experience coordinating multiple teams and interdependent workstreams while managing competing priorities;
The ability to influence without direct authority and bring Product, delivery, customer, and leadership teams toward a shared outcome;
A practical, solutions-oriented approach to ambiguity, product gaps, risks, and changing requirements;
A high level of autonomy, ownership, urgency, and follow-through;
Strong written and spoken English, since most customers supported by this role are English-speaking and located outside Quebec;
The flexibility to support customers across Canadian time zones and to travel occasionally, generally no more than a few times per quarter;
A university degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
Nice-to-have
Experience in healthcare, hospital environments, health technology, or another regulated industry;
Experience delivering programs for government or other public-sector organizations;
French-language skills;
Experience with project management platforms such as Smartsheet, Monday.com, or comparable tools;
PMP certification or graduate studies in project management;
Experience helping improve PMO, governance, or delivery practices within an organization.
