AI Summary

The Product Owner manages the eHealth product backlog by writing user stories and prioritizing work to align with hospital stakeholder needs. They act as the bridge between clinical specialists and the development team to ensure the clinical information system solves real-world healthcare problems.

Overview

At Nortal, we believe in thinking big – creating solutions that have a meaningful, far-reaching impact, whether through digitizing governments, improved healthcare, convenient telecom services, or creating a competitive edge and agility for large businesses. We’re transforming the way people pay taxes, manage health, and connect with public services, and we’re just getting started.

Now, we are looking for a Product Owner to join the eHealth team, with whom we can go faster, higher, and further than before. You will have a chance to work at the intersection of the delivery team, hospital stakeholders, and healthcare specialists - keeping the product moving forward while making sure what gets built actually solves the right problems.

eHealth is Nortal's clinical information system for hospitals – a product that consolidates patient data into a single view and supports clinical decisions with real-time information. We build it, we run it, and we stay accountable for it long after go-live.

A product with real-world impact, real users, and plenty of room to shape what comes next - curious to see more?

What you'll do

  • You'll work closely with hospital IT teams, doctors, and healthcare specialists, and the development team to keep the product moving in the right direction.
  • Own the product backlog: write user stories, prioritize work, and keep the team unblocked.
  • Partner with client stakeholders to understand requirements, define scope, and manage change requests.
  • Support sprint planning and refinement, and help track epic progress against budget and schedule.
  • Act as the voice of the end user — understand clinical workflows well enough to push back when a proposed solution misses the mark.
  • Contribute to key documentation, including user stories, specifications, and process flows, and support UAT and client sign-off.

What makes you a great fit

  • 2–4 years of experience as a Product Owner or System Analyst, with hands-on experience in system analysis and a solid grasp of process mapping, requirements engineering, and backlog prioritization.
  • A collaborative mindset and clear communication that make it easy to engage with both the team and clients, even when the topic is unfamiliar.
  • Confidence with technical topics like APIs, system integrations, and the development lifecycle, with the ability to follow discussions with developers and ask the right questions.
  • Eagerness to use and explore AI tools in your day-to-day work, with a genuine curiosity about where they add the most value.
  • You care about users and help clients make better decisions, not just turn requests into tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills in Estonian and English.
