Product Lead / Senior Software Engineer

At AstroPay, we're building the next generation of global financial infrastructure. As a Product Lead / Senior Software Engineer, you'll play a key role in designing and building strategic products that power our global payment ecosystem.

This is a highly technical, hands-on role for someone who enjoys writing code but also wants to influence product decisions, system architecture, and long-term technical strategy. You'll work closely with Product, Engineering, and business stakeholders to design scalable solutions that support millions of users across multiple markets.

• Extensive experience building backend systems with Java.
• Experience designing distributed systems and scalable architectures.
• Previous experience in Payments, Banking, Fintech, or other highly transactional environments.
• Strong understanding of software architecture and system design.
• Experience with cloud environments, preferably AWS.
• Product mindset with the ability to understand business problems and translate them into technical solutions.
• Strong communication skills in English (B2+).

• Lead the technical design and development of AstroPay's platform.
• Design scalable backend services and APIs for mission-critical financial products.
• Write clean, maintainable, and high-performance Java code.
• Drive architectural decisions with scalability, security, and reliability in mind.
• Help define the product roadmap from a technical perspective, balancing business impact and engineering excellence.
• Mentor engineers through code reviews and technical discussions.
• Continuously improve platform performance, resilience, and developer experience.
