Role Overview
As a Product Designer, you'll bring an understanding and appreciation of user centered design principles while also being able to create clean, visually consistent designs for our clients. Your skillset allows you to work within a Design System that includes working with brand and product usage guidelines, through creative direction. You have strong communication skills that allow you to discuss and collaborate on implementation strategies with PMs, Developers, and QA, while also presenting your designs to client stakeholders with sound rationale.
Location: Fully remote position within LATAM.
Contract Duration: Fixed term (6-8 months)
Language Requirement: Advanced English.
What you'll do
- Implement new ideas and designs in collaboration with designers and developers using user-centered design principles and web/mobile usability standards.
- Produce functional prototypes and hi-res mockups to demonstrate your solutions, helping to bridge wireframes with a Design System while adhering to brand and creative direction.
- Manage design requests in a timely fashion, with competing priorities and deadlines.
- Collaborate with user testing teams to have design prototypes ready for Design Research team.
- Present complex concepts clearly and persuasively across diverse audiences with our clients/stakeholders.
What you'll bring
- Ability to demonstrate experience from at least one large-scale project, a product you designed.
- Strong portfolio of work.
- Knowledge of best practices in both UX and UI, with an understanding and appreciation of standard patterns, concepts, and processes.
- Experience designing for responsive web, SaaS, and internal web-app platforms.
- Ability to iterate and collaborate based on constructive design review.
- Proven ability to challenge design and fight for the user.
- Experience in an Agile environment.
- Experience with Figma for design and FigJam for planning.
- Experience with Design Systems.
- Ability to work and document Sprint-based work in Jira and Confluence.
- Ability to document work for Developer handoffs and work within technical constraints, specifically with 3rd party integrations.
What will make you stand out
- Ability to estimate and scope your assigned work on a sprinted Agile delivery schedule.
- Experience with front-end and back-end component restrictions.
- Experience or active interest in working the brand IP (intellectual property), where IP integrity and guidelines must be closely adhered to based on direction.
- Previous experience with creative or art direction.
