Your Responsibilities
We’re seeking a skilled Pre‑Sales Engineer to play a critical role in supporting DocuWare’s revenue growth by providing technical insight and consultative expertise throughout the sales cycle. Partnering closely with our Authorized DocuWare Partners (ADPs) and internal Sales teams, you’ll ensure every proposed solution meets customer needs and delivers clear business value. Acting as a trusted advisor, you’ll bridge the gap between technology and business requirements—empowering partners through training, enabling customer success, and helping accelerate deal velocity.
The territory for this role is nationwide however residence in Pacific Time or Mountain Time is preferred.
Responsibilities:- Partner with Sales and Channel teams to support ADPs in all technical pre‑sales activities, including discovery, demo configuration, solution design, and proposal development.
- Conduct tailored demonstrations and workshops for partners and prospects to showcase DocuWare’s platform capabilities and business impact.
- Collaborate with sales representatives and professional services teams to translate customer requirements into effective technical solutions aligned with their workflows and digital transformation goals.
- Assist in scoping and quoting professional services engagements in coordination with the Professional Services team.
- Deliver technical enablement sessions and training workshops for ADPs to strengthen their ability to position, demonstrate, and implement DocuWare solutions independently.
- Lead technical discovery, qualification, and needs assessment efforts; respond to RFPs/RFIs and support integration or customization discussions.
- Prepare and manage proof‑of‑concept (POC) and pilot environments to validate proposed solutions and accelerate deal closure.
- Maintain detailed records of pre‑sales activity in CRM systems, including customer requirements, configurations, technical objections, and outcomes.
- Continue building mastery of the DocuWare product portfolio and adjacent technologies to provide best‑in‑class consultation and partner support.
What you need to succeed
- Ability to travel three weeks a year outside territory - DoucWorld (locations vary), Beacon NY and within wider territory for team building event.
- Ability to travel ocassionally to channel partners (less than 50% of time would be spent in travel).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of experience in pre‑sales engineering, solution consulting, or technical sales support.
- Strong understanding of SaaS, cloud architecture, document management, or workflow automation technologies.
- Excellent communication skills—able to convey complex technical concepts clearly to both business and technical audiences.
- Demonstrated success conducting product demos and proof‑of‑concepts.
- CRM proficiency (e.g., Salesforce) and familiarity with sales enablement processes.
- Ability to travel occasionally for partner workshops, industry events, or customer visits.
What we can offer
- $105,000 base plus commission, no cap on compensation however OTE is expected range of $150,000 to $200,000.
