This position will primarily support the day-to-day management and scientific activities of the NIOSH-funded study, including coordination across multiple research sites, supervision and mentorship of graduate and undergraduate students, maintenance of regulatory and administrative requirements, and preparation of required reports and deliverables. The Postdoctoral Associate will work closely with the Principal Investigator (PI) and collaborating investigators while also engaging in activities consistent with postdoctoral training and career development, including manuscript preparation, scientific publication, grant development, and the development of an independent line of research.

This is a 100%25 remote position. Occasional travel may be required based on project needs.

·         Conduct research activities and perform other duties as assigned to support the successful completion of a NIOSH-funded, multi-site research project examining concussion in first responder populations.

·         Coordinate day-to-day research activities across multiple participating study sites and maintain communication with collaborating investigators, research staff, and other project personnel.

·         Assist in monitoring study progress, project timelines, milestones, and deliverables to ensure successful completion of project objectives.

·         Manage, mentor, and supervise graduate and undergraduate students involved in project-related research activities, including assigning responsibilities, providing training and guidance, and overseeing completion of assigned tasks.

·         Maintain study-related administrative, regulatory, and research documentation.

·         Prepare, submit, maintain, and modify Institutional Review Board (IRB) applications and other required regulatory materials, as appropriate.

·         Assist with ensuring ongoing compliance with approved research protocols and applicable institutional and funding agency requirements.

·         Prepare and submit required progress reports, technical reports, and other project deliverables to NIOSH and other relevant agencies or stakeholders.

·         Participate in regular meetings with the Principal Investigator, research team, collaborating investigators, and personnel at participating study sites.

·         Assist with research data management, quality assurance, analysis, interpretation, and reporting, as appropriate.

·         Prepare abstracts, scientific presentations, manuscripts, and other scholarly products related to project findings.

·         Lead and/or contribute to the preparation and submission of peer-reviewed manuscripts and actively disseminate research findings through scientific publications and professional conferences.

·         Participate in the development of new research questions and projects aligned with the broader goals of the research program.

·         Prepare and submit extramural grant applications and pursue funding opportunities for which the Postdoctoral Associate is eligible to serve as Principal Investigator.

·         Participate in professional development, mentoring, networking, and other activities designed to support progression toward an independent research career.

·         Perform other related research duties as assigned.

Doctoral degree in health and rehabilitation sciences, public health, epidemiology, neuroscience, psychology, kinesiology, or another related discipline.
