Plumbing & HVAC Specialist

Are you an experienced Plumbing & HVAC Specialist with strong U.S. construction experience and a passion for sharing your expertise? SMARTSOURCING USA is seeking a qualified Plumbing & HVAC Specialist to support the training and development of aspiring estimators and construction professionals.

This is a contractor role for someone who can independently deliver training, provide mentorship, and contribute subject matter expertise in plumbing, HVAC systems, mechanical estimating, and construction best practices.

Qualifications:

• 3–5 years of hands-on experience as a Plumbing & HVAC Specialist or in a related mechanical construction trade.
• Strong experience working on U.S.-based construction projects, with solid knowledge of U.S. standards, terminology, and workflows.
• Prior experience in training, mentoring, coaching, or a team lead capacity within the plumbing, HVAC, or mechanical construction industry.
• Strong understanding of domestic water, sanitary and storm drainage systems, gas piping, plumbing fixtures, HVAC equipment, air distribution systems, ductwork, chilled and hot water piping, ventilation systems, mechanical equipment, estimating principles, quantity takeoffs, and project coordination.
• Knowledge of U.S. plumbing and mechanical codes (including IPC, UPC, IMC, and applicable local codes), manufacturer specifications, OSHA requirements, and industry best practices.
• Experience estimating commercial and/or residential plumbing and HVAC projects.
• Familiarity with estimating software, digital takeoff tools, blueprint reading, mechanical and plumbing drawings, HVAC layouts, piping schematics, equipment schedules, and construction specifications.
• Excellent English communication skills (both written and verbal).
• Ability to work independently and manage deliverables in a remote contractor setup.
• Professional, patient, and effective in guiding learners with varying skill levels.
