AI Summary

Architect and manage secure, scalable cloud foundations and automated self-service platforms using Infrastructure-as-Code. Implement GitOps-based delivery pipelines and full-stack observability to ensure high availability and system reliability.

As a DevOps/Platform Engineer, you will architect and manage the core cloud foundations that ensure our customers’ environments are secure, compliant, and highly available. You will bridge the gap between development and operations by engineering automated self-service platforms and "paved road" infrastructures. By delivering standardized Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and robust governance frameworks, you will empower businesses to scale their cloud footprint globally with speed and consistency.

We encourage a healthy cultural environment where our employees can grow as individuals and as part of a friendly team. We use the latest Cloud and DevOps technologies and always try to be on top of our game.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Platform Foundations & Landing Zones: Design and deploy scalable, multi-region cloud foundations with an emphasis on automated governance, multi-tenant isolation, and policy-driven guardrails to minimize operational overhead.
  • Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC): Architect and evolve the "paved road" for engineering teams by maintaining modular, reusable Terraform libraries that standardize global infrastructure lifecycle management.
  • Container Orchestration & Serverless: Architect and manage container environments, leveraging Serverless containers (e.g., Cloud Run, Fargate) for rapid scaling and Kubernetes for complex orchestration, using Helm to abstract underlying infrastructure complexity
  • GitOps & Continuous Delivery: Implement and manage CI/CD ecosystems rooted in GitOps principles, ensuring declarative, version-controlled, and highly reliable deployment cycles across heterogeneous environments.
  • Full-Stack Observability: Drive system reliability through integrated monitoring, logging, and tracing frameworks, focusing on proactive alerting, SLO-based performance tracking, and actionable telemetry.
  • DevSecOps & Automated Compliance: Integrate "shift-left" security guardrails, including automated pipeline scanning, identity-driven access (IAM), and runtime security policies to ensure continuous compliance across all platform tiers.
  • Systems Troubleshooting: Support distributed cloud architectures by analyzing performance bottlenecks and resolving technical issues to help maintain high availability and network health.
  • Technical Collaboration: Work closely with engineering teams to share platform best practices, assist with scaling strategies, and help implement cloud-native architecture patterns.

What We’ll Expect From You:

  • Cloud-Native Foundations: 3+ years of experience with Linux-based environments, with a focus on designing and managing scalable cloud infrastructures.
  • Landing Zone Implementation: Practical experience building and maintaining Cloud Landing Zones, including the design of resource hierarchies, organizational structures, and multi-account/project isolation.
  • Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC): Proficiency in Terraform (or OpenTofu) to automate the deployment of landing zone components and global infrastructure through modular code.
  • Automated Governance: Experience implementing policy-driven guardrails (e.g., AWS Control Tower, GCP Organization Policies, or OPA) to ensure compliance and cost management at scale.
  • Containerization & Serverless: Strong understanding of Kubernetes and experience with Serverless container platforms (e.g., Cloud Run, Fargate) for workload orchestration.
  • Continuous Delivery & GitOps: Hands-on experience building CI/CD pipelines with a preference for GitOps workflows (e.g., GitLab CI, Cloud Build, or ArgoCD).
  • Observability: Experience implementing monitoring and logging frameworks to track SLOs and drive proactive system reliability.
  • Platform Security: Familiarity with DevSecOps practices, including Identity & Access Management (IAM), automated security scanning, and network security boundaries.
  • Networking & Connectivity: Solid understanding of cloud networking (VPCs, Shared VPCs/Peering) and traffic management solutions like NGINX, Envoy, or HAProxy.
  • Systems Troubleshooting: Ability to debug distributed architectures and perform system analysis to maintain high availability.
  • Technical Collaboration: Strong communication skills and a desire to work as a partner to engineering teams, sharing platform best practices and supporting scaling efforts.

Nice to Have:

  • Multi-Cloud Exposure: Experience with GCP or Azure in addition to a primary cloud provider.
  • Cloud Certifications: AWS, GCP, or CKA certifications.
  • Advanced Networking: Familiarity with Service Mesh or advanced SDN configurations in cloud-native environments.

What’s in for you:

Besides a competitive salary package, you can be part of a friendly, innovative, and open-minded team.

It is a hybrid job;  you can work from our office in Bucharest, located in Pipera or remote. We encouraged remote work even before it was cool. You can do your job from anywhere: the office, a beach in the Bahamas, a rice field in Bali, your grandma’s house, or even Mars.
