Job Description:

 

Datavail is seeking an experienced PeopleSoft Finance Functional Consultant to support a managed services engagement focused on PeopleSoft Financials and HCM environment. This consultant will lead and participate in discovery sessions, assess current-state business processes and system utilization, and develop findings and recommendations that guide future-state planning and modernization efforts.

The ideal candidate combines strong functional expertise in PeopleSoft Financials with excellent consulting and communication skills. They will work closely with business and IT stakeholders to understand how PeopleSoft is used today, identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization, and recommend practical solutions aligned with business objectives. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

• Facilitate discovery workshops and working sessions with business and IT stakeholders. 

• Assess current-state PeopleSoft Financials business processes, system configuration, and operational practices. 

• Evaluate key financial processes, including controls, integrations, reporting, and manual workarounds. 

• Identify business process gaps, operational risks, and opportunities for optimization. 

• Document findings, recommendations, and future-state options to support client decision-making. 

• Contribute to roadmap development and modernization discussions. 

• Prepare and present findings and executive-level summaries to client leadership. 

 

Required Skills & Experience:

 

• Strong functional experience implementing or supporting PeopleSoft Financials. 

• Working knowledge of PeopleSoft HCM. 

• Hands-on experience with multiple PeopleSoft Financial modules, including: 

1. General Ledger (GL) 

2. Accounts Payable (AP) 

3. Accounts Receivable (AR) 

4. Treasury

5. Cash Management 

6. Billing

7. Projects

8. Grants Management 

• Strong understanding of financial business processes, internal controls, and industry best practices. 

• Experience facilitating discovery sessions, client workshops, and business process assessments. 

• Ability to gather and analyze business requirements and translate findings into actionable recommendations. 

• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage business users, technical teams, and executive stakeholders. 

• Experience delivering assessments, advisory services, and solution recommendations. 

• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
