Our client is a rapidly scaling company with a global team and a strong presence in the US. As their workforce grows, payroll complexity is increasing — particularly with US-based employees and compliance requirements.
They are looking for a Payroll Administrator with hands-on US payroll experience who can ensure accurate, compliant, and timely payroll processing. This role requires a strong understanding of US labor laws, tax regulations, and payroll best practices.
You will play a key role in maintaining operational accuracy and ensuring employees are paid correctly and on time, while navigating multi-jurisdictional requirements.
09:00 AM – 05:00 PM PT (aligned with US business hours)
Manage end-to-end payroll processing for US employees
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
Maintain accurate payroll records, deductions, and tax filings
Handle payroll reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
Stay up to date with US labor laws, tax codes, and compliance requirements
Ensure proper handling of benefits, bonuses, commissions, and reimbursements
Support audits and maintain documentation for compliance purposes
Work with payroll systems and tools to ensure efficient processing
Generate payroll reports for finance and leadership teams
Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes and accuracy
Partner with HR and Finance teams on employee data, compensation changes, and reporting
Support onboarding/offboarding payroll activities
Act as a point of contact for payroll-related employee inquiries
Proven experience in US payroll administration
Strong knowledge of US payroll laws, tax regulations, and compliance
Experience processing payroll for US-based employees
High attention to detail and accuracy
Experience with payroll systems and tools
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Clear communication skills when working across teams and time zones
Willingness to work US business hours
Experience supporting multi-state US payroll
Familiarity with payroll platforms (e.g., Gusto, ADP, Rippling)
Experience in high-growth or international companies
Basic understanding of accounting or finance processes
