Payer Relationship Manager

About the role

• The Payer Relations Manager is responsible for developing and managing strategic relationships with payers while driving operational optimization and resolving revenue cycle inefficiencies. This role focuses on identifying and analyzing process “breakage,” improving payer performance, and ensuring alignment between internal teams and payer partners to maximize decision outcomes and reduce friction. 

What you'll do

• Meet regularly with dedicated Payer Partners 

• Identify opportunities to improve payer workflows 

• Monitor payer performance metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives 

• Develop and track metrics tied to payer efficiency, turnaround times, and Decision rates 

Qualifications

• Strong relationship-building, communication, and interpersonal skills 
• Experience in account management, client support, and customer success
• Proficiency in analyzing business needs, identifying growth opportunities, and proposing appropriate solutions

• Effective collaboration and coordination skills to work across internal teams and departments

• Proactive problem-solving and decision-making abilities

• Capacity to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines

• Knowledge or experience in healthcare systems, SaaS, or related technology industries is a plus

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Communications, Marketing, or a related field
