Part-Time WordPress & Web Optimization Specialist

We are seeking a proactive, communicative, and skilled WordPress Developer to maintain, optimize, and build out client websites. In this role, your soft skills matter just as much as your technical abilities. You won't just be executing tasks—you will actively communicate progress, raise potential issues early, and help guide site performance strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Divi 5 Development: Build, update, and customize responsive website layouts using Divi 5.
• Speed & Performance Optimization: Perform site speed audits, clean up code, optimize images, configure caching, and improve Core Web Vitals (LCP, FID/INP, CLS).
• Proactive Communication: Send clear, regular updates on task progress, flag bottlenecks early, and ask clarifying questions before issues arise.
• Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot plugin conflicts, update WordPress cores/themes, and maintain overall site health and security.
  

Requirements

Qualifications & Requirements

• WordPress Experience: Demonstrated track record building and managing WordPress sites.
• Divi 5 Expertise: Fluency with Divi 5’s framework, modules, and performance features.
• Optimization Skills: Strong understanding of speed tools (GTmetrix, Google PageSpeed Insights) and techniques (asset minification, image compression, database cleanup, CDN configuration).
• Exceptional Communication: Clear written and verbal English communication; comfortable giving daily/weekly progress updates without needing to be micromanaged.
• Availability: Ability to dedicate 20 consistent hours per week.
  

Nice-to-Haves

• Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS/JS for custom tweaks outside Divi modules.
• Experience with server-level caching or host-specific optimizations (WP Engine, SiteGround, Cloudflare).
