The role

As our first Origination Manager in Poland, you will own how Capalo turns battery and hybrid assets in the country into contracted, bankable revenue. Capalo runs these assets on Capalo Zeus VPP™, trading and optimizing them automatically across day-ahead, intraday, balancing and reserve markets. You will package that performance into the revenue structures owners need, floors, tolling and route-to-market agreements, so they get certainty over what an asset earns while we run it.

You will structure and price these deals alongside our optimization team and our offtake partners, then own the customer relationship from first conversation through signature and as portfolios grow. This is the first origination hire in the region, and you’ll have the chance to shape Capalo's commercial presence in Poland and beyond from the ground up.

Key responsibilities

• Originate and close revenue deals, floors, tolling and route-to-market, with battery and hybrid asset owners across Poland.

• Structure and price each deal with our optimization team, turning what Zeus can earn across day-ahead, intraday, balancing and reserve markets into a revenue level Capalo can stand behind.

• Work with the offtake partners (insurers, utilities and traders) who underwrite the fixed-revenue guarantees behind these structures.

• Own the customer relationship end to end, from first conversation through signature and as portfolios scale on Capalo Zeus VPP™.

• Build Capalo's counterparty network and become the name asset owners, developers and IPPs associate with route-to-market for storage.

• Feed Polish market intelligence, pricing, competitor moves and regulation, back into commercial and product strategy.

• Represent Capalo at industry events and grow its reputation in the European storage market.
  

What we're looking for

Must-haves

• Experience originating, structuring and negotiating offtake or revenue agreements (PPAs, floors, tolling or route-to-market) for renewable power or storage assets.

• A commercial, sales-driven mindset paired with the analytical rigor to price and compare deal structures.

• Willingness to travel within Poland and occasionally to the Helsinki office.

• Fluent English and Polish.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with how batteries earn across markets (arbitrage, ancillary services, intraday) and how a VPP monetizes flexibility.

• An existing counterparty network among Polish asset owners, developers, IPPs or offtakers.

• Comfort in a fast-moving startup and with modern software, cloud and AI tools.
