A client based in South Africa looking for an Organic Social Lead to own and scale their organic social media strategy across multiple platforms. This person will be responsible for driving brand awareness, audience engagement, and ultimately revenue through high-performing organic content. You'll combine creativity with commercial thinking, using data, AI tools, creators, and repeatable content systems to build a best-in-class organic social presence.
Responsibilities
- Develop and lead the company's organic social media strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Manage organic social channels across Meta, TikTok, YouTube, and Pinterest.
- Translate commercial goals into engaging social content strategies and campaigns.
- Build and manage a network of content creators, freelancers, and AI tools to produce high-quality content efficiently.
- Create scalable processes for identifying, testing, and scaling successful content formats.
- Monitor content performance and use analytics to continuously optimise strategy.
- Ensure content drives brand awareness, audience engagement, and commercial outcomes.
- Oversee or contribute to video and image editing to maintain high content quality.
- Manage multiple projects, priorities, and content calendars effectively.
Requirements
- Proven experience developing and executing successful organic social media strategies.
- Strong understanding of Meta, TikTok, YouTube, and Pinterest algorithms, trends, and best practices.
- Ability to translate commercial objectives into high-performing organic content.
- Excellent understanding of content hooks, storytelling, scripting, and audience engagement.
- Experience using AI tools and automation to improve content creation and workflows.
- Ability to build scalable systems and repeatable content processes.
- Strong video and image editing skills, or experience managing external creative resources.
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyse performance metrics and optimise content accordingly.
