Responsibilities will include:
Edit raw iPhone and DSLR footage from RYZE's truck tour into short-form content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts
Turn around high volumes of scroll-stopping edits on tight, tour-driven timelines
Cut footage with strong pacing, sound design, captions, and visual hooks that keep viewers watching
Collaborate with the Sr. Social Media Editor on creative direction, trends, and content strategy
Organize and manage incoming footage (ingest, backup, file naming/organization)
Stay on top of platform-native trends, sounds, and formats, and adapt tour footage to them quickly
Maintain consistent brand voice and visual identity across all edits
Jump in on other organic social editing needs as they arise — evergreen content, product/lifestyle posts, and other short-form edits outside the tour cycle
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
2–4 years editing short-form social content-TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts specifically. Not general video production; platform-native short-form is a distinct skill set.
Proven experience editing both DSLR and iPhone-shot footage — this is a must
A strong reel or portfolio of scroll-stopping, entertaining short-form social edits
Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and CapCut
A sharp eye for pacing, timing, and what makes content actually perform on social
Comfort working with high volumes of raw footage and fast turnaround times
Strong organizational skills for managing footage, assets, and version control remotely
Self-starter energy — you can take direction from the Sr. Social Media Editor and also bring your own creative ideas
A genuine interest in social trends, wellness/functional beverage space, or brand content is a plus
PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS
High-volume output mentality — not precious about content. Understands that tour-driven timelines don't wait. Can move from raw footage to polished edit fast, repeatedly, without quality slipping.
Pacing instinct — knows intuitively where to cut, when to hold, and what makes a viewer stay for the next second. This isn't a teachable skill so much as a trained eye that either exists or doesn't.
Hook-first thinking — starts every edit by identifying the moment that earns the first three seconds. Doesn't build toward the hook; leads with it.
Platform fluency — keeps a genuine, current pulse on TikTok, Reels, and Shorts formats, trending sounds, and native editing conventions. Applies them to tour footage without being asked.
Raw footage discipline — organized and systematic about ingest, file naming, backup, and version control. Knows that disorganized footage is a production risk, not just an inconvenience.
Adaptable creative — can take a creative brief from the Sr. Social Media Editor and execute it faithfully, and can also identify and pitch the moment in footage that nobody briefed for.
Trend velocity — identifies trending sounds and formats early enough to act on them, not after they've peaked. Moves fast enough to actually capitalize.
Remote-ready operator — functions independently without a physical team around. Manages their own deadlines, flags blockers early, and communicates progress clearly.
