Role: Oracle Fusion HCM – Payroll AMS Support Lead
Role Description
An Oracle Fusion HCM Payroll Manager responsible for managing Oracle Cloud Payroll application support, production maintenance, troubleshooting, and enhancements within an Oracle Managed Services environment. The candidate should possess extensive hands-on experience in Oracle Fusion Payroll configuration, payroll processing, Fast Formula, payroll costing, payroll balances, statutory deductions, and payroll integrations. The role involves leading functional support teams, managing payroll-critical production incidents, ensuring payroll processing continuity, and driving operational improvements while maintaining compliance with applicable payroll legislation.
Level: Manager, lead Oracle HCM Payroll support workstreams, manage functional resources, oversee critical payroll incidents, ensure payroll processing timelines and SLA compliance, coordinate with business stakeholders, and provide functional leadership across application support and enhancement activities.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll Production Support: Lead L2/L3 functional support for Oracle Fusion Payroll, troubleshooting payroll processing errors, calculation discrepancies, missing payments, retroactive adjustments, and payroll flow failures.
Payroll Configuration: Support and maintain Payroll Elements, Element Eligibility, Payroll Definitions, Payroll Relationships, Payroll Balances, Payroll Costing, Payment Methods, and Payroll Flow Patterns.
Fast Formula Support: Troubleshoot and maintain Fast Formula configurations for payroll calculations, eligibility, deductions, and validation rules.
Payroll Processing: Support payroll calculation, prepayments, payroll costing, payment processing, payslip generation, reconciliation, and payroll period-close activities.
Legislative Compliance: Support statutory payroll calculations, taxes, deductions, and regulatory changes based on the applicable country payroll localization.
Payroll Integrations: Troubleshoot HDL/HSDL data loads, HCM Extracts, payroll interfaces, bank payment files, and integrations with Core HR, Absence Management, Benefits, and Time and Labor.
Critical Incident Management: Lead resolution of high-priority payroll incidents, perform RCA, coordinate Oracle Support escalations, and implement preventive actions.
Configuration & Enhancements: Manage payroll configuration changes, defect fixes, minor enhancements, and associated functional testing.
Quarterly Release Support: Oversee Oracle HCM Cloud quarterly update assessments, payroll regression testing, and post-update validation.
Service Delivery & Team Management: Monitor SLAs, manage ticket backlogs, coordinate functional resources, mentor junior consultants, and participate in client governance meetings.
Required Skills & Experience
Experience Oracle HCM, with strong hands-on Oracle Fusion Cloud Payroll production support experience.
Functional Expertise: Strong knowledge of Payroll Elements, Fast Formula, Payroll Balances, Payroll Costing, Retro Payroll, Payroll Flows, and Payroll Processing.
Legislative Knowledge: Understanding of country-specific payroll rules, taxation, statutory deductions, and compliance requirements.
Integration Skills: Experience with HDL, HSDL, HCM Extracts, BI Publisher, and payroll interfaces.
Cross-Module Knowledge: Understanding of Oracle Core HR, Absence Management, Benefits, and Time and Labor.
Managed Services: Experience managing critical payroll incidents, RCA, service requests, configuration changes, SLA management, and support governance.
Leadership: Strong payroll troubleshooting, client management, team leadership, and communication skills.
