About the Role

As an Operations Manager, Profitability at Mercuryo, you will own the day-to-day health of our unit economics — turnover, costs, margin, and conversion — across products in the Web3 and payments ecosystem. As margins get thinner and the product scope grows, profitability can no longer be controlled product-by-product on an ad-hoc basis. This role exists to make that control systematic, automated, and fast.

You'll combine hands-on analytics with process ownership: monitoring the numbers, building the guardrails that keep margin within target, and acting as the single point that connects cost-side data and data quality across teams. The end state you're driving toward is one where routine control runs without manual effort — and where launches are predictable and exception decisions are quick.

Your Role:

  • Run regular monitoring of turnover, costs, profit, and conversion against target ranges — and progressively automate routine control so it no longer depends on manual checks.
  • Build and maintain margin governance: margin floors, a pre-launch profitability checklist, and a registry of approved exceptions.
  • Keep financial metrics (costs, margin, profit, conversion) within set targets and boundaries, and investigate the root cause when they drift.
  • Own ad-hoc requests that sit at the intersection of teams — the cases where there's no clear owner and speed matters — and turn the recurring ones into systematic solutions.
  • Act as the single synchronisation point for cost-side data and data quality between teams.
  • Assess the impact of pricing and cost decisions on the profitability of a given channel or product.
  • Test and assess new hypotheses related to profitability and unit economics.
  • Keep related product documentation and reporting full and up-to-date.
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned.

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Finance, Economics, Tech, or a related field.
  • 5+ years' experience in Analytics, Finance, or a related role in consulting / audit / fintech / product.
  • Ability to pull and work through analytics independently — confident with SQL and dashboards, you don't wait on someone else to get to the number.
  • Solid grasp of unit economics and the drivers behind costs, margin, and profit.
  • Strong business analysis skills and sharp, structured logic — you can break an ambiguous problem down to its root cause.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable juggling multiple workstreams at once.
  • Proactive mindset and a problem-solving attitude.
  • Confident professional English — able to communicate fluently and clearly in both writing and conversation.
  • Experience in a transactional business (such as payments processing) is an advantage.
  • Experience in crypto industry is an advantage.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive market rate salary and performance-based incentives.
  • 22 days annual leave with an additional 6 company days, plus bank holidays.
  • Comprehensive health insurance plans.
  • Maternity & Paternity leave support.
  • Extensive benefits program.
  • Flexible work schedule and remote work options.
  • Modern offices and co-working spaces across 6 countries.
  • Working equipment.
  • Professional development and training opportunities.
  • Opportunity to shape the initiatives you’re working on.
  • Diverse and friendly team.
  • We are open-minded to new ideas.
