Description
Position Function:
The On-Call Unit provides support for day staff responsible for permanency planning and placement for abused and neglected children. They respond quickly in crisis and urgent situations involving children and their families that occur after normal business hours. The On-Call Permanency Supervisor provides support and leadership to the on-call unit after normal business hours – nights and weekends. They will perform highly complex consultative services, technical assistance, and supervisory work. This role is fast-paced and high energy. It requires the ability to work individually with minimal supervision. It also requires ongoing assessment and decision-making regarding child safety issues and permanency. This role must ensure documentation is thorough, concise and timely. The On-Call Permanency Supervisor works closely with children, families, community stakeholders and internal/external partners. This position is responsible for supporting On-Call in the following regions: Northeast 3E Region to include Collin, Grayson, Fannin, Hunt, Rockwall, Ellis, Kaufman and Navarro Counties
*While this is a remote position, the selected candidate will need to reside in the counties listed above as occasional response to the field to support families/clients in needed, could be required.

Requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree within social services is preferred.
Experience: 2 years of experience working as a Permanency Specialist, or equivalent.
Functional: Knowledge of unit planning and implementation. Knowledge of ACH/OCOK policies, procedures, and requirements. Knowledge of laws and regulations related to child care, abuse, and neglect. Skills in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships. Skills in effective verbal and written communication. Ability to articulate an understanding of the intersection between race and poverty and the different outcomes and conditions that exist among specific groups as compared to other groups due to unequal treatment of services. Ability to gather, assemble, correlate, and analyze facts. Ability to prepare clear and concise reports. Ability to develop and analyze special projects. Ability to supervise the work of others. Ability to travel.
