As a New Patient Paramedic you will conduct virtual assessments with patients across our core conditions, which span psychiatry, neurology, pain, and women's health. You will review medical histories, identify clinical needs, and determine whether cannabis-based treatment is appropriate, all within a multidisciplinary team that includes consultants, pharmacists, and specialist clinicians. This is not a passive gatekeeping role. You will be an active clinical voice, asking the right questions, spotting the things that need a closer look, and knowing when to refer on.

Because our patients return to us regularly throughout their treatment, you will see the impact of the decisions you make. What you will be doing:
Virtual Patient Assessments
Conduct comprehensive virtual assessments for new patients, reviewing medical histories, current symptoms, and identifying healthcare needs.
Work collaboratively with consultants and other clinicians as part of a multidisciplinary team (MDT) to support safe and effective patient care in line with clinical guidelines and scope of practice.
Provide clear, empathetic education about cannabis-based treatments, including potential benefits, side effects, contraindications, and usage guidance.
Maintain accurate, contemporaneous, and confidential records of all patient interactions using Montu’s electronic health record system.
Adhere to all Montu UK policies, healthcare regulations, professional standards, and patient confidentiality requirements.
Act as the first point of contact for new patients, responding to questions and concerns with professionalism, compassion, and clinical insight.
Maintain all mandatory training requirements and remain familiar with company policies, SOPs, and current clinical guidance.
What you need:
Strong clinical assessment, triage, and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication skills, particularly within virtual and remote consultation environments.
Empathetic, patient-centred approach with the ability to build rapport and trust remotely.
Proficiency in electronic health record systems and telehealth platforms.
Ability to work independently, prioritise workload effectively, and manage time efficiently in a remote setting.
Telemedicine or remote consultation experience is desirable.
Registered Paramedic qualification is essential.
Valid registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
Minimum of 5 years’ post-registration clinical experience as a paramedic.
