Our team is made up of the best talent in the hospitality industry, down to every employee, position, and hotel.    Position Summary The National Facilities Director is responsible for the strategic leadership, maintenance, and operational performance of all physical assets across a portfolio of hotels. This role oversees facility maintenance programs, capital improvement projects, regulatory compliance, safety initiatives, energy management, and vendor relationships to ensure properties operate efficiently, safely, and in alignment with brand standards and company objectives. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement national facilities management strategies for all hotel properties. Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs. Manage capital expenditure (CapEx) planning, budgeting, and project execution. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including life safety and environmental requirements. Lead regional facilities and engineering teams, providing coaching and performance management. Negotiate and manage contracts with vendors, contractors, and service providers. Monitor property conditions and establish standards for maintenance and asset preservation. Drive energy efficiency, sustainability, and cost-control initiatives. Support hotel renovations, conversions, and new property openings. Respond to major facility emergencies and business continuity events as needed. Supervise and lead a group of Regional Chief Engineers and on-site Chief Engineers Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred. 10+ years of progressive facilities, engineering, or property operations experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role. Multi-site hospitality, hotel, resort, or property management experience preferred. Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety, and building automation systems. Experience managing large operating and capital budgets. Proven leadership, project management, and vendor management skills. Working knowledge of OSHA regulations, building codes, and hospitality industry standards. Ability to travel extensively (25–50% or more) to hotel locations nationwide. Proficiency with CMMS, facilities management software, and Microsoft Office applications. Physical Requirements Ability to travel frequently by car and air to hotel locations. Ability to walk hotel properties, including guest rooms, rooftops, mechanical rooms, and construction sites. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during property inspections. Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and access elevated areas when necessary. Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds occasionally. Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach during facility inspections. Ability to work in varying indoor and outdoor environments, including exposure to heat, cold, noise, and construction areas. Ability to respond to emergency situations outside normal business hours.
