About Chemtrans:

Chemtrans is a division of K&S Corporation and is a well-respected industry leader in the safe and efficient transportation and delivery of Dangerous and Hazardous Goods and chemicals throughout Australia. 

The Role:

This is a key national role for someone who thrives on building relationships, creating opportunities, and driving growth, with the flexibility to be based anywhere on the East Coast of Australia.

You’ll be the face of the Chemtrans Hi-Ex business with key customers, strengthening existing partnerships while opening doors to new opportunities across Australia.

Working closely with the EGM and operational teams, you’ll have the opportunity to influence commercial strategy, shape customer solutions, and play a direct role in the continued growth of the Hi-Ex business. This national role will require frequent travel to support customer and operational requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

Develop new business and grow existing customer accounts

Build strong relationships with customers through regular face-to-face engagement

Manage enquiries, quotations, tenders, pricing, and commercial modelling

Maintain a strong understanding of customer contracts, KPIs and commercial requirements

Partner with the EGM, Account Managers, and operational teams to deliver effective customer solutions

Ensure customer reporting, rate escalations and fuel levies are accurate and completed on time

Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities

Champion K&S health, safety, environmental and compliance standards

Ensure compliance with relevant transport, dangerous goods, and explosives requirements

You will bring:

Proven business development, account management, or commercial management experience

Experience within transport, logistics, dangerous goods, explosives, or a similarly regulated industry

Strong commercial acumen, including tenders, pricing, and commercial modelling

Demonstrated ability to develop new business and grow existing accounts

Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills

Knowledge of explosive vehicle requirements and relevant Australian explosives regulations/codes

A strong commitment to safety, compliance, and customer service

Industry involvement with AEISG (Australian Explosives Industry Safety Group), AEC and TLIG will be highly regarded, along with the ability to obtain relevant Queensland and South Australian clearances associated with explosives and SSAN licensing.
