AI Summary

The candidate will complete a multi-phase discernment process involving personal evaluations, spiritual assessments, and reference checks. They will participate in a Day of Discernment to evaluate their potential fit and readiness for a ministry staff role.

Hello, Rev. Lim!

We were thrilled to learn that you completed the first phase of our Ministry Staff Discernment Process and have been accepted as a ministry candidate with Empowering Leaders! In Phase I, you completed the initial application and spiritual and personal evaluations, so now we move on to Phase II. Below is an outline of what you can expect over the next few weeks.

1. Phase II Application and References: This is simply a continuation of the initial Phase I application and includes additional questions that will give us a more in-depth look at your spiritual formation and character, ministry experience, gifts, and personal calling. You will also be asked to provide a minimum of five individuals we can contact as references; those who know you and your journey to this point. Once your application is submitted, we will contact your references and ask each of them to complete a confidential reference form. So please tell your references to expect a link to the form from Novo.

2. Assessment: To learn more about you, we will use additional tools to evaluate your personality, strengths, and (if married) marital well-being; all of which (when combined with the assessments in Phase I) are predictive of fit and success with Novo in ministry.

Note: We recognize the sensitive nature of the information you will be asked to share with us and make every effort to protect your privacy by maintaining strict controls over the use and storage of these documents.

3. Final Discernment: The final step in the Selection Process is to meet with the discernment team for a Day of Discernment (DoD). The DoD is a time set aside to look deeper into your personal gifting and potential fit as a Novo ministry staff member. The discernment team consists of experienced Novo staff trusted for their insight and ability to discern fit and readiness for ministry.

The system will not allow you to save and complete your application at a later time.  Same as last time, this is not a formal employment application; it's simply the system used to gather information.
