Middle PHP (Magento) Developer (Contractor)

We are currently seeking a talented Middle PHP (Magento) Developer with 3+ years of commercial experience to join our team for an exciting e-commerce project.

Project Description

We are developing a Magento-based e-commerce platform for a retail and wholesale business with 4000+ SKUs

The platform will support both B2C and B2B customers, including different pricing rules and checkout flows

The project is being built from scratch based on provided UI/UX designs and will include integrations with payment and delivery services

Your responsibilities will include: 

• Develop Magento 2 storefront from scratch based on UI/UX designs;
• Implement B2C and B2B functionality (pricing, customer groups, checkout logic);
• Integrate third-party payment and delivery APIs;
• Fix bugs, optimize performance, and improve existing features;
• Collaborate with team to ensure stable and user-friendly implementation.

REQUIREMENTS

• Strong knowledge of PHP 8+ and OOP principles;
• 3+ years of commercial experience with PHP development;
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with Magento 2;
• Experience with Magento architecture, modules, themes, and extensions;
• Strong understanding of MySQL and database design principles;
• Experience with REST APIs and third-party integrations;
• Experience with Elasticsearch and Docker;
• Experience working with Git;
• Understanding of design patterns, and SOLID principles;
• Experience with debugging;
• Intermediate English level (B1).

WOULD BE A PLUS

• Experience with Adobe Commerce (Magento Commerce);
• Familiarity with Hyvä Theme or PWA solutions;
• Experience with Redis or Varnish;
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines;
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure;
• Experience with code review.
