Job Description 

We are hiring a skilled MEP Drafter and Designer to join our remote team, specializing in preparing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) drawings for USA-based residential and commercial projects. The ideal candidate will have expertise in AutoCAD, with Revit proficiency being a plus. A strong understanding of US MEP codes, building codes, and MEP coordination is essential for success in this role. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Develop MEP (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing) drawings using AutoCAD and Revit (as needed). 
  • Prepare permit sets and construction documentation compliant with US codes, client standards and local building regulations.  
  • Coordinate with architectural and structural teams for integrated design. 
  • Review and incorporate redlines and markups from engineers. 
  • Perform quality assurance (QA) checks to ensure accuracy and compliance. 
  • Participate in remote coordination meetings with US clients and consultants. 
  • Maintain organized drawing files and adhere to standard naming conventions. 


Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or related field). 
  • 2–5 years of experience in MEP drafting/design for USA-based projects. 
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD for creating detailed MEP drawings; experience with Revit is a plus. 
  • Strong knowledge of US MEP codes (NEC, IPC, IMC) and related building codes. 
  • Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal) for seamless collaboration in a remote setting. 
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while meeting deadlines. 

Preferred Skills 

  • Experience working with remote US-based teams or AEC outsourcing firms. 
  • Familiarity with Bluebeam, BIM 360, or Navisworks for collaborative workflows. 
  • Knowledge of LOD (Level of Development) standards and BIM documentation workflows.
