Your Role:
- Review professional charge documents for accuracy and compliance
- Assign and enter diagnosis and procedure codes into billing systems
- Matches consultations with encounter forms and dictations from affiliate medical offices where the Partners have practiced
- Enters information pertaining to these procedures into the billing and patient systems. Balances at the end of the day.
- Research and correct claims following carrier guidelines
- Stay up to date on industry regulations and communicate updates
- Collaborate with departments to ensure smooth billing operations
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards
What We’re Looking For:
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; post-high school coursework in medical billing preferred
- Certification: CPC (Certified Professional Coder) required
- Experience: 1+ year of medical coding experience preferred
- Skills: Strong knowledge of third-party billing, coding terminology, and medical systems
- Interpersonal Skills: Must be able to communicate and collaborate effectively with team members in various departments. Must feel comfortable working as a team in a remote position.
