POSITION SUMMARY:
The Medical Assistant Team Lead will provide administrative support and coordinate daily staff activities to ensure efficient operations. The Team Leader is responsible for providing guidance, instruction, direction, and leadership to assigned medical assistants. This position will require organization, dependability, punctuality, and good communication skills.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Serve as an escalation point for assigned medical assistants who need support with day-to-day operations.
  • Assist in the supervision of work and performance to ensure department is meeting output.
  • Ability to audit notes to ensure accuracy and timeliness to allow a seamless workflow.
  • Ability to work on several projects simultaneously and maintain organization throughout different systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot EMR issues.
  • Will connect MAs with their clinicians when newly paired to ensure the appropriate workflow.
  • Work effectively with MA and Operations and Scheduling teams to ensure chart prep can be completed daily.
  • Assist in executing new processes for the IPV MA team.
  • Ability to provide frequent clear, concise communication with the Medical Assistants and Operations Manager and/or Supervisor to manage all aspects of PTO and coverage.
  • Understand and ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and workflows.
  • Provide backup support for the medical assistant team, which includes all functions of a medical assistant.
  • Assist with the training of new and existing team members.
  • Additional relevant duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • 4+ years’ experience as a Medical Assistant. Long term care setting preferred.
  • Current CMA/CCMA/RMA Certificate or completion of a CAAHEP accredited/medical assisting program.
  • Has demonstrated leadership potential.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively at all levels.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook), Virtual Meeting Programs, Adobe, EMR systems, and Monday.

  • Excellent verbal/written communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to show strong personal initiative and take ownership over work results.
  • High attention to detail, accuracy and follow through.
The anticipated hourly rate for this role is $25-$27/hr. This remote position follows a location-based compensation structure. The posted salary range represents the potential pay range across various U.S. geographic markets. Actual compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s primary work location, experience, qualifications, and internal equity considerations, in accordance with applicable pay transparency laws.
