MD (Medical Doctor), DO (Osteopathic Doctor) Radiology

Description

This is a full-time, on-site opportunity for a dedicated radiologist who is committed to delivering accurate diagnostic imaging and exceptional patient care. As part of our client's clinical team, you will play an essential role in supporting physicians across multiple specialties by providing timely and precise imaging interpretations.

In this role, you will interpret a wide range of diagnostic imaging studies, including X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, ultrasounds, and mammograms, while collaborating closely with referring physicians and clinical staff. You will contribute directly to patient outcomes by ensuring accurate diagnoses, recommending appropriate follow-up imaging when necessary, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety in radiology practice.

Responsibilities

• Interpret diagnostic imaging studies including X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, ultrasounds, and mammograms
• Provide accurate and timely radiology reports to referring physicians
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary clinical teams to support patient diagnosis and treatment planning
• Ensure compliance with radiation safety protocols and regulatory standards
• Maintain detailed and accurate patient records and documentation
• Consult with physicians regarding imaging findings and recommendations
• Participate in quality assurance and peer review activities
• Stay current with advances in radiology technology and diagnostic techniques
• Support continuous improvement of imaging protocols and workflows
• Educate and guide technical staff on imaging procedures and best practices
• Participate in on-call rotations as required by the practice
• Uphold patient confidentiality and adhere to all medical ethics and compliance guidelines

Requirements

• MD (Medical Doctor) or DO (Osteopathic Doctor) degree from an accredited institution
• Completed residency training in Radiology
• Board certified or board eligible in Radiology
• Associate-level experience in diagnostic radiology
• Valid medical license to practice in the state of North Carolina
• Proficiency in interpreting a broad range of imaging modalities
• Strong analytical and diagnostic skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary clinical environment
• Commitment to patient safety, quality care, and continuous learning
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in reporting
• Willingness to work on-site in Lumberton

Schedule: 7 on/7 off, 4p-12a or 12a-7a

Setting: 100% remote

Daily Volume: 45 RVUs

Duties: ED and inpatient coverage, including neuro and strokes

Workstation provided

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified
