The Online Educator (LINC Fellow) functions as an independent academic contributor with LINC Education, delivering online facilitation services to postgraduate students enrolled in the Master of Mental Health (Online) offered by Victoria University Online. The programs are delivered in innovative formats such as Victoria University’s block model, where students complete one unit in intensive 8-week blocks.

The LINC Fellow is responsible for providing structured academic support, personalised guidance, and high-quality feedback to students.

What’s on offer?
Selected applicants will be engaged as independent contractors and will be offered a competitive fixed remuneration of $6800 to manage a class of approximately 25 students. Further upsides are available based on larger batch sizes as well as achievement-related increments of up to 20%.

Work Flexibility
Commitment of approximately 10–15 hours per week, 7 days a week.
Fully remote working model
Requirement of a stable internet connection and a distraction-free workspace
Availability throughout the week between 5 pm and 10 pm Melbourne time
Roles & Responsibilities:
The LINC Fellow is expected to:
Provide subject matter guidance to a cohort of 25–30 postgraduate students
Conduct 1:1 academic support sessions
Guide students on course content and assessments
Perform assessment grading with detailed, constructive feedback
Manage and moderate weekly discussion forums
Support students in developing academic skills such as writing, research, and time management
Deliver timely, proactive, and personalised support to student queries
Engagement with students will take place via email, calls, and online platforms within defined availability hours.
Desired candidate profile:
A Doctoral qualification or Master's Degree in Mental Health, Nursing and/or the relevant discipline area, or equivalent accreditation and standing.
Minimum of 4+ years of relevant Mental health school teaching, research, and/or professional experience as a teacher educator in the last 5 years.
Active registration for Mental Health as a Mental Health practitioner.
Knowledge and understanding of Mental Health education policies and practices.
Full working rights to work within Australia.
An Australian Business Number or ABN, as a sole trader, or of the entity that will contract with LINC.

Availability Requirement
The candidate is expected to be available between 5 pm - 10 pm Melbourne time, 7 days a week, during which they may put in 1-2 hours of work based on student needs and marking load.
