Minimum Hiring Annual Salary:
$59,286.00
Maximum Hiring Annual Salary:
$64,029.00
To attain the maximum annual salary, employee must meet all minimum qualifications plus:
- 5 (five) years of additional applicable work experience and/or degrees higher than minimum qualification degree. Degrees higher than the minimum qualification degree can be used in combination with additional work experience.
- A combination of related education, on-the-job work experience, certifications and/or licenses that results in a candidate successfully meeting the minimum qualifications of the position, may be considered.
The stated salary amounts are not guaranteed in the event employment ends with Aims during any fiscal year.

The Marketing Content Manager shapes how students, employees, and community members understand and experience Aims Community College. This role serves as a primary storyteller for the college, translating institutional priorities into compelling narratives that support enrollment, retention, and brand reputation. The individual in this position ensures that written communications across digital and print channels reflect the college’s values and strategic goals while meeting accessibility, legal, and policy requirements.
Operating within a rapidly evolving digital landscape, the Marketing Content Manager leads the development of content that performs across traditional search, social platforms, and emerging AI-driven “answer engines.” This role requires a deep understanding of how prospective students and community members gather information, integrating advanced SEO techniques, structured content strategy, and generative AI efficiencies to create high-value content that is discoverable, accurate, and aligned with institutional objectives.
The position collaborates across academic and administrative departments, serving as a central resource for effective, student-centered communication. By maintaining governance standards, monitoring compliance requirements, and contributing to high-visibility campaigns, the Marketing Content Manager ensures that Aims’ messaging remains consistent, accessible, and trusted across all platforms.
This position is eligible for 100% remote work.
Strategic Content Development and Brand Stewardship: 30%
- Serve as a lead storyteller for the college, producing content aligned with enrollment, retention, and brand objectives.
- Translate complex academic and administrative information into clear, compelling narratives for students and community audiences.
- Maintain a college-wide editorial calendar to ensure consistent, coordinated communication across departments.
- Establish and manage content governance standards, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and brand voice.
- Identify proactive content opportunities based on institutional priorities, emerging trends, and audience behaviors.
Digital Marketing, SEO, and AI-Driven Content Optimization: 25%
- Develop web, email, digital ad, and landing page content using industry-standard practices.
- Conduct keyword research and apply advanced content optimization techniques, including metadata, schema markup, structured content, and accessibility requirements.
- Create and optimize automated email campaigns and enrollment marketing workflows using platforms such as Element451, Mailchimp, or Constant Contact.
- Use analytics platforms to evaluate content performance and make data-driven recommendations.
- Integrate generative AI tools responsibly, ensuring brand consistency, data security, content accuracy, and alignment with institutional policies.
- Manage content workflows within project management software such as Asana, Trello, or Monday.com.
Compliance, Risk Mitigation, and Content Accuracy: 15%
- Ensure all communications comply with FERPA, GDPR, WCAG 2.1/Section 508, and institutional policies.
- Conduct regular content audits to ensure accuracy, brand alignment, and regulatory compliance.
- Develop mitigation strategies to address misinformation, outdated content, or crisis communication risks.
- Monitor emerging compliance concerns, including AI usage, copyright, fair use, and advertising guidelines.
- Advise leadership and departmental partners on best practices for content accuracy and risk reduction.
Cross-College Collaboration and Training: 15%
- Provide consultation and training for faculty, staff, and departments on writing, accessibility, and effective communications.
- Serve as liaison between Marketing, Enrollment Management, Academic Affairs, and other departments to align messaging.
- Assist with crisis communication responses, preparing draft statements, and coordinating timely dissemination.
- Supervise and mentor interns, student workers, and freelance writers as needed.
Multi-Channel Content Production and Campaign Support: 5%
- Produce content for print, digital, newsletters, advertising, and external communications.
- Support new program launches and program updates with accurate, student-centered messaging.
- Collaborate on high-visibility campaigns targeting students, employees, and the community.
- Maintain consistency of tone, brand, and accuracy across all communication materials.
Budget, Vendor, and Resource Management: 5%
- Evaluate new tools, platforms, and editorial resources to strengthen content operations.
- Oversee vendor relationships, including freelance writers, translation services, and content platforms.
- Track ROI and efficiency gains from automation, analytics, and generative AI implementations.
Other Duties as Assigned 5%
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, English, Digital Media, or other related field.
- Three (3) Years of Professional experience writing, editing, and producing marketing and communications content, preferably across multiple channels. Or an equivalent combination of education and/or work experience.
- Strong writing, editing, and storytelling abilities with attention to tone and audience needs.
- Experience developing ad copy, email campaigns, or marketing automation content.
- Ability to interpret complex information and distill it into clear, accessible messages.
- High degree of collaboration and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Proactive problem-solving and resourcefulness.
- Comfortable working with ambiguity and adapting to rapidly changing digital landscapes.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
- Commitment to equity-minded, student-centered communication practices.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in higher education, nonprofit organizations, or marketing/creative agencies.

- Proficiency with Google Analytics 4, Looker Studio, or similar analytics tools.
