You've spent nearly a decade at a top consultancy mastering the craft – delivering complex programs, building trusting client relationships, and driving commercial momentum. You excel at it. But you're also watching the partner track narrow, the bureaucracy thicken, and AI reshaping the industry while your firm puts new labels on the same old way of doing things.

As a Managing Director, you'll own key client relationships, delivery accountability, and commercial growth initiatives from day one. You'll report directly to the CEO, with the autonomy to move fast and make real decisions without the layers, politics, or legacy constraints of a 500,000-person organization. You'll operate at the intersection of AI and enterprise transformation, where the work is genuinely novel and the ceiling is yours to set.
This is a partner-level role for leaders who are ready to build. You'll serve as a trusted advisor to client executives, shape and sell solutions, guide delivery teams to exceptional outcomes, and develop the next generation of talent, all within a firm that has AI in its DNA.

Key Responsibilities
Client Leadership & Business Development
Be the advisor clients call first. Own senior executive relationships across your accounts, serving as a strategic partner to client leadership.
Drive account growth by identifying new opportunities, shaping proposals, and closing engagements that expand scope and deepen partnerships.
Collaborate with the Sales Leader to structure deals, lead pitches, and close deals.
Delivery Excellence
Provide executive oversight across client engagement, ensuring outcomes meet or exceed client expectations.
Ensure every engagement lands on time, within scope, and at the quality bar we pride ourselves in.
Own project-level P&L, driving profitability through effective pricing, resource allocation, and margin discipline.
Build and codify IP from client work. Turning delivery insights into repeatable assets that accelerate future sales and sharpen future execution.
Balance human and AI capacity to maximize value delivered to clients and to the firm.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations and maintain high standards of corporate governance.
AI & Innovation Enablement
Support TechTorch AI initiatives by defining priorities for AI agents and automations.
Translate what you hear from clients into sharper AI offerings. Feeding market intelligence back to practice leaders to refine how TechTorch positions and packages its capabilities.
Champion AI-native delivery internally, piloting new approaches, embedding automation where it creates leverage, and raising the bar on how the team works.
Team Leadership & Development
Lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams across the organization.
Ensure performance management processes are consistently applied, holding leaders accountable for reviews, feedback, and development.
Foster a culture of We Not Me, accountability, and collaboration, celebrating team successes while building long-term talent depth.
Qualifications
8+ years of consulting experience, including senior leadership roles with account responsibility and delivery oversight.
Demonstrated success in selling and growing client accounts while maintaining delivery excellence.
Expertise in Lead-to-Cash, Data, or Digital/AI transformation (one or more required).
Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing executive-level client relationships.
Commercial acumen with proven ability to manage engagement economics, pricing, and profitability.
Bachelor’s degree required. Advanced degree (technical or business) preferred.
Success Metrics
Client satisfaction (measured by NPS, feedback, and account renewals).
Growth in client revenue through account expansion, new engagements, and cross-sell opportunities.
Achievement of gross margin and profitability targets.
Delivery outcomes (on-time, on-budget, zero-defect execution).
Retention and engagement of top talent, consistent performance management applied.
Expansion and codification of TechTorch IP that drives scalable, repeatable solutions

Competitive compensation and benefits. Base compensation between $200,000–$240,000, depending on experience, with a competitive, performance-driven bonus and a comprehensive benefits package including health coverage and additional perks.
