Locum MD (Medical Doctor) Radiology

Description

This is a contract, on-site position offering an excellent opportunity for an Associate-level physician to provide essential radiology coverage and patient care within a collaborative clinical environment.

In this locum role, you will interpret diagnostic imaging studies, collaborate with referring physicians, and deliver accurate, timely reports that support effective patient treatment plans. Your expertise will directly contribute to maintaining high standards of diagnostic care and uninterrupted radiology services for the practice and its patients.

Responsibilities

• Interpret diagnostic imaging studies, including X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, and ultrasounds
• Prepare and deliver accurate, timely radiology reports to referring physicians
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary medical teams to support patient diagnosis and treatment
• Ensure compliance with established clinical protocols and safety standards
• Review patient histories and prior imaging to provide informed interpretations
• Communicate urgent or critical findings promptly to the care team
• Maintain detailed and organized documentation of all diagnostic readings
• Participate in quality assurance and peer review activities as required
• Stay current with advances in radiology techniques and imaging technology
• Provide consultation and guidance to medical staff on imaging-related matters

Requirements

• Medical degree (MD) from an accredited institution
• Associate-level experience in radiology or a related clinical setting
• Valid medical license to practice in the relevant jurisdiction
• Board certification or eligibility in Radiology
• Proficiency in interpreting a broad range of diagnostic imaging modalities
• Strong analytical and diagnostic decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work effectively in an on-site, team-based clinical environment
• Commitment to patient safety and high-quality care
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in reporting

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9a-5p

No call required

Setting: Onsite and remote

Must be board-certified
