PARALEGAL

Teamswell is a high-growth nearshore outsourcing company working for US companies. Our mission is to help small and medium-sized US businesses grow and become more profitable by having access to highly engaged, skilled, and experienced talent at a fair price, and to generate career opportunities for bilingual professionals in Latin America with fair compensation and opportunities for professional and personal growth.

We are looking for a responsible Paralegal who is highly organized and detail-oriented. The ideal candidate will have experience handling corporate and transactional matters and be able to work closely with attorneys to manage a diverse portfolio of clients, primarily small business owners.

In Teamswell every team member has an instrumental role and impact on the success of our business and our client’s success, so we seek to have highly motivated individuals who thrive in a fast-paced work environment, who are intelligent, eager to work hard, reliable, and able to communicate effectively with all levels of an organization. Our Paralegal will possess the skills and experience required and will also possess a positive attitude and ability to solve complex problems and work in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment. We value people who are good communicators, quick learners, scrappy about finding creative solutions to problems, and conscious of their work quality. We expect all our team members to deliver excellence in technical expertise and their everyday relationships with their team.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

·       Assist attorneys with drafting and reviewing legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and corporate/LLC filings.

·       Conduct legal research and analysis to support attorneys in advising clients on a range of business matters.

·       Manage and organize client files, including preparing and maintaining corporate records and ensuring all documents are properly executed and filed.

·       Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, and third parties to obtain necessary information and documents.

·       Prepare and file forms with municipal, state, and federal agencies, including formation documents, annual reports, and other required filings.

·       Assist with the preparation of alcoholic beverage license applications.

·       Serve as a communication liaison between the firm and respondents, attorneys, municipal and state departments, and clients.

·       Develop and document workflows to support and improve the firm’s internal processes.

·       Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

·       2–5+ years of experience as a paralegal, ideally in corporate, transactional, or regulatory/licensing practice.

·       Paralegal certificate, associate’s degree, or bachelor’s degree; paralegal certification (e.g., NALA, NFPA) a plus but not required.

·       Working knowledge of corporate/LLC formation and maintenance, including annual reports and registered agent filings.

·       Strong legal research skills, with proficiency in research platforms (e.g., Westlaw, Lexis) and general internet-based research.

·       Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the professionalism to interact directly with clients, opposing counsel, and government agencies.

·       Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines across several client matters simultaneously.

·       Comfortable working independently and reliably in a fully remote environment, including managing digital files and virtual communication tools.

·       Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard document management/e-filing systems.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

·       Prior experience with alcoholic beverage licensing (ABC) applications or other regulatory licensing processes.

·       Experience supporting municipal or state government filings in California or other jurisdictions.
