About the role

As an experienced System Administrator responsible for managing, securing, and optimizing enterprise Linux environments (primarily RHEL), ensuring high availability, performance, and compliance. Supports DevOps teams by enabling automation, CI/CD integration, and standardized infrastructure practices.

Key responsibilities include system administration, troubleshooting, security hardening, identity integration (AD, LDAP, Kerberos), storage and network management, and container/platform support (Docker, Artifactory).

Drives automation through scripting, maintains monitoring and observability standards, and supports hybrid infrastructure (on‑prem and cloud). Provides technical leadership, contributes to enterprise standards (gold images, security baselines), and collaborates across engineering, security, and operations teams to deliver scalable and reliable infrastructure solutions.

 

Position Requirement 

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 7+ years of hands-on experience administering enterprise Linux environments, preferably Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).

  • Strong expertise in Linux system administration, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and lifecycle management.

  • Experience supporting and enabling DevOps teams in enterprise environments.

  • Solid understanding of Linux authentication and identity services, including Active Directory integration, Kerberos, LDAP, SSSD, and PAM.

  • Strong working knowledge of SELinux administration, security hardening, and Linux security best practices.

  • Experience with enterprise storage technologies, including NFS, multipathing, and storage connectivity troubleshooting.

  • Experience managing SSL/TLS certificates, certificate renewals, and secure communications across Linux-based platforms.

  • Hands-on experience with container technologies such as Docker.

  • Experience with artifact repository platforms such as Artifactory.

  • Strong scripting and automation skills using Bash, PowerShell, Python, or similar technologies.

  • Experience with enterprise monitoring, logging, and observability platforms.

  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including DNS, TCP/IP, routing, firewalls, load balancing, and VPN technologies.

  • Experience working with virtualization platforms such as VMware vSphere.

  • Experience supporting CI/CD platforms such as  CI/CD, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.

  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across infrastructure, development, security, and operations teams.

 

Additional Skills that will help in the role

  • Experience designing and maintaining Linux golden images and standardized server deployment processes.

  • Experience developing Linux security baselines, hardening standards, and compliance controls.

  • Experience creating automation frameworks for Linux provisioning, patching, configuration management, and operational tasks.

  • Experience building and maintaining enterprise monitoring standards and operational documentation.

  • Familiarity with hybrid infrastructure environments including on-premises and cloud platforms.

  • Experience mentoring engineers and providing technical leadership within Linux and DevOps-focused teams.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Azure infrastructure and services.

  • Experience supporting large-scale enterprise VMware and Linux environments.

  • Knowledge of SQL server Administration
