AREA OVERVIEW:
This position forms part of the Lead Contract Negotiators (LCN) group which supports the organization’s clinical agreements globally. Provides legal advice and counsel within a function, region or country to support the creation, review and negotiation of and non-disclosure and vendor agreements, and supports contracting process from triage to contract metric reports.


RESPONSAIBILITIES:

  • Reviewing, drafting and negotiating a broad range of clinical contracts (i.e. primarly non-disclosure agreements, vendor agreements and other customer agreements as needed).

  • Ensuring that contracts are in compliance with legal, regulatory and organization policies.

  • Monitoring the contract process to assure compliance with the organization’s contractual guidelines for both customers and vendors, including participation in precontract discussions, contract negotiations and contract changes.

  • Track work and obtain appropriate reviews and approvals, adhering to established processes.

  • Participate or coordinate as a legal contract lead in customer or vendor calls to support negotiations of the contracts.

  • Ensure delivery of a final contract in a timely fashion, working independently or as part of a team.

  • Conduct written and/or verbal follow-up with customers and vendors after the delivery of draft or signature-ready contracts.

  • Support LCN triage activities, track team workload and contract metrics.


REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor Law Degree completed + local bar association active.

  • Qualified to practice law in a global organization and relevant experience related to contracts.

  • Advanced/fluent English skills (this role is part of a Global team)

  • Proficient in drafting various type of contracts in English and negotiating complex deals directly with customers and vendors.

  • Strong organizational, planning, project and contract management, communication, presentation and influence skills.

  • Ability to work creatively in a fast-paced environment

  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work simultaneously on multiple priorities and meet stablished timelines

  • Possess excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills necessary to establish quickly credibility and trust throughout the organization.

  • Excellent skills using MS Office Suite: MS Word, MS PowerPoint and MS Excel.

  • Prior in-house experience in the pharmaceutical industry and/or familiarity with drug discovery and development process will be a plus.
