On behalf of our client, a dynamic iGaming company, we are seeking an experienced Legal and Compliance Assistant (iGaming).
Our client is a consultancy group specialising in regulatory affairs and licensing across the online entertainment (iGaming) sector. The business supports a portfolio of platform operators in obtaining, maintaining, and expanding licensed operations across multiple international jurisdictions.
The Legal and Compliance Assistant will provide hands-on legal and compliance support across a multi-jurisdictional portfolio covering iGaming license applications, commercial contract drafting and review, AML/KYC compliance documentation, consumer dispute management, and cross-border corporate structuring. The role supports a multi-entity group with operations and licensing activities spanning multiple regions including North America, Latin America, Africa, Asia, and Europe.
This is a remote position. The successful candidate must be comfortable managing a high volume and wide variety of concurrent legal tasks, working closely with external counsel in different jurisdictions, and producing well-structured written work to a consistent standard. Strong written and spoken English is essential. Fluency in Spanish, Portuguese, or Chinese (Mandarin) is an advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
License Application and Documentation
- Research and compile legal and regulatory requirements for iGaming license applications across different jurisdictions.
- Prepare and organize required documentation for license applications, including corporate documents, due diligence materials, and financial reports.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities to track the progress of applications, respond to queries, and ensure timely submission.
Legal Research & Analysis
- Conduct legal research on gaming laws, data protection requirements, and industry best practices in various jurisdictions.
- Draft, review, and redline a broad range of commercial contracts and agreements, including vendor agreements, NDAs, insertion orders, service agreements, loan agreements, licensing arrangements, and other instruments arising from the group's iGaming and consultancy operations, with attention to cross-jurisdictional enforceability and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Identify potential compliance risks and recommend corrective actions; support responses to regulatory inquiries, consumer disputes, and administrative proceedings; prepare AML/KYC compliance documentation and narratives for submission to regulators, notaries, financial institutions, and licensing authorities across applicable jurisdictions.
General Legal Support
- Provide training or guidance to internal teams on regulatory requirements and compliance processes.
- Help clients understand their obligations under specific licenses and jurisdictions.
- Support senior legal counsel on substantive tasks including corporate structuring and incorporation across multiple jurisdictions, preparation of KYC/AML onboarding documentation for banking and regulatory purposes, management of share transfer and corporate resolution documents, and coordination of apostille and notarisation requirements.
Requirements:
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in law.
- Relevant Experience: 1–3 years of experience in a legal, compliance, or paralegal role; experience in iGaming, online gaming, or technology is preferred.
- Language Skills: Fluent in English is essential. Proficiency in Spanish, Portuguese, or Chinese (Mandarin) will be an advantage.
- Skills: Strong legal research and analytical skills. Knowledge of technical compliance standards in iGaming (e.g., data reporting, platform integrity, and testing) is a plus.
