Lead React Developer (Fitness sphere)

Company Background

Our client is a leading U.S.-based fitness franchisor operating 2,400+ clubs worldwide. Its digital ecosystem supports both franchise operations and member experiences, including onboarding, membership management, payments, and engagement features.

Project Description

The high-load platform, which serves mobile applications through BFF and microservice-based architecture, cloud infrastructure, and extensive third-party integrations. The team works on scalable, user-facing products for members and franchise operations, combining frontend engineering, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous product improvement.

What You'll Do

• Lead the architecture, design, development, and delivery activities of a cross-functional engineering team;
• Lead the integration of new technologies into existing web applications and digital products;
• Drive technical discussions and clearly communicate complex ideas, trade-offs, and solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders;
• Partner closely with Product and Design teams to identify effective technical solutions for user and business needs;
• Collaborate with Data, Security, Infrastructure, and Tech Operations teams to support smooth delivery from idea to production;
• Make and justify architectural decisions, including evaluation of different approaches and their pros and cons;
• Contribute hands-on to discovery, implementation, troubleshooting, and technical decision-making;
• Proactively identify risks, challenges, and ambiguities, and communicate them with proposed solutions;
• Participate in and lead spikes, POCs, and technical investigations;
• Support team growth through technical leadership and direct people management where applicable;
• Set and maintain high standards for engineering quality, delivery efficiency, and cross-functional collaboration.

Job Requirements

• 5+ years of experience working as frontend developer; 
• Strong experience with React and the modern React ecosystem;
• Strong experience with TypeScript;
• Understanding of distributed systems and modern and event-driven architectures;
• Familiarity with AWS or other cloud platforms;
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain, justify, and discuss technical decisions;
• English level: B2 or higher;

Nice To Have

• Experience with Remix or willingness to work with it;
• Java experience or readiness to work with Java-based backend services;
